5. Installation
The EconoHome heater is designed for easy wall mounting. Follow these steps for a secure installation:
- Prepare the Wall: Choose a suitable location on a flat, non-textured wall, ensuring it is at least 12 inches away from water sources.
- Mark Drill Points: Use the provided template to accurately mark the four drill points on the wall.
- Install Anchors: Drill pilot holes at the marked points. Insert the drywall anchors and screw them in until flush with the wall. Do not overtighten to avoid stripping the threads. For easier installation of plastic threads, apply a small amount of grease or WD-40.
- Apply Reflective Film: Carefully peel and stick the heat reflective film onto the wall within the marked area, ensuring it is smooth and free of bubbles. This film helps reflect heat into the room rather than absorbing it into the wall.
- Mount the Heater: Align the heater panel with the installed anchors and slide it into place. Secure it by screwing on the plastic caps. Be gentle as the caps have plastic threads.
- Connect Thermostat: Plug the heater's power cord into the plug-in thermostat, then plug the thermostat into a standard 120V wall outlet.

6. Operation
The EconoHome heater utilizes convection technology to efficiently warm your space. It operates silently without a fan, preventing the circulation of dust and allergens.
- Convection Heating: The heater operates at a constant temperature, emitting minimal radiant heat. Its primary function is to generate convection currents that rise from behind the panel, circulating heated air throughout the room.
- Thermostat Control: Use the plug-in thermostat to set your desired room temperature (41-86 °F). The thermostat will automatically turn the heater on or off to maintain the set temperature, ensuring consistent warmth and energy savings.
- Power Switch: The heater panel itself has an on/off switch for direct control. Ensure this switch is in the "On" position for the thermostat to function.

7. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your EconoHome heater, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the surface of the heater with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Painting: The heater features a paintable design. If you choose to paint it, ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying a suitable, heat-resistant paint.
- Inspection: Periodically check the power cord and plug-in thermostat for any signs of damage. If damage is found, discontinue use and contact customer support.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EconoHome heater, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Heater Not Turning On:
- Ensure the heater's side power switch is in the "On" position.
- Verify that the plug-in thermostat is securely plugged into the wall outlet and the heater is plugged into the thermostat.
- Check the thermostat settings; if the room temperature is above the set temperature, the heater will not activate.
- If the thermostat appears faulty, try plugging the heater directly into a wall outlet (without the thermostat) to test if the heater itself is functional.
- Inconsistent Heating:
- Ensure the reflective film is properly adhered to the wall behind the heater to maximize heat reflection into the room.
- Confirm that the heater is mounted approximately 1 inch away from the wall to allow for proper convection current circulation.
- Check for any obstructions around the heater that might impede airflow.
- Mounting Issues (Plastic Threads):
- If the plastic mounting nuts are difficult to thread, apply a small amount of automotive grease or WD-40 to the threads. Thread and unthread them multiple times to ease the process before final installation.
- Avoid overtightening the plastic caps to prevent stripping the threads or damaging the drywall anchors.
