4. Setup

Before using your grill for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the grill and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Wash the removable cooking plates and the grease collection tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the grill with a damp cloth.
  3. Install Plates: Ensure the cooking plates are securely clicked into place on the upper and lower heating elements.
  4. Positioning: Place the grill on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or cabinets to allow for proper ventilation. Ensure the power cord is not obstructed.
  5. Grease Tray: Insert the grease collection tray into its designated slot at the front of the grill.

5. Operating Instructions

The LITTLE BALANCE 8734 Electronic Grill offers versatile cooking options:

5.1. Powering On and Preheating

  1. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The touch screen will illuminate.
  2. Press the power button on the touch screen to turn on the grill.
  3. Select your desired cooking mode (Grill or Barbecue) and set the temperature and time using the touch controls. The grill heats up rapidly, reaching 80°C to 230°C in under 2 minutes.
  4. Wait for the grill to reach the set temperature. An indicator will signal when preheating is complete.

5.2. Grill Mode (Closed Position)

Ideal for meats, poultry, fish, paninis, and sandwiches.

  1. Place food on the lower cooking plate.
  2. Gently lower the top plate. The floating hinge system with 6 height adjustments will adapt to the thickness of your food, ensuring even cooking.
  3. Monitor cooking progress through the set time or visually. The grill features an automatic shut-off at the end of the set cooking time.

5.3. Barbecue Mode (180° Open Position)

For a larger cooking surface, ideal for multiple items or open-face grilling.

  1. With the grill closed, gently lift the handle and push the release button (if present) to allow the top plate to open fully to a 180° flat position.
  2. Place food on both cooking surfaces.
  3. The grill features independent thermostats for each plate, allowing you to set different temperatures for each side if desired.

5.4. Pre-set Programs

The grill includes 5 pre-set cooking programs for common food types. Refer to the touch screen interface for program selection and specific instructions for each program.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your grill.

  1. Cool Down: Always unplug the grill from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove Plates and Tray: Press the plate release buttons to detach the cooking plates. Remove the grease collection tray.
  3. Wash Plates and Tray: Wash the removable cooking plates and grease tray in warm, soapy water. The PFAS-free non-stick coating makes cleaning easy. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or metal utensils that could damage the non-stick surface.
  4. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the grill with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  5. Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the grill.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your grill, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
