Setup

UHF Wireless Microphone System Setup

  1. Receiver Placement: Place the quad-channel UHF wireless receiver on a stable surface, away from potential sources of interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, large metal objects).
  2. Antenna Connection: Screw the two included antennas onto the ANTENNA A/B ports on the rear of the receiver. Ensure they are securely tightened and positioned vertically for optimal signal reception.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the receiver and plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Audio Output Connection:
    • For mixed audio output: Connect the 1/4'' audio cable from the MIX OUT port on the receiver to your mixer, amplifier, or sound system's input. Use the 6.5mm to 3.5mm adapter if your input requires a 3.5mm jack.
    • For individual channel outputs: Connect XLR cables from the BALANCED XLR OUTPUTS A/B/C/D ports to individual channels on your mixer for separate control of each microphone.
  5. Microphone Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment of each handheld microphone and insert 2 AA batteries (not included), observing the correct polarity.
  6. Power On: Turn on the receiver by pressing the POWER button. Turn on each handheld microphone by pressing and holding its POWER button.
  7. Frequency Synchronization: The system features automatic synchronization. If manual pairing is needed, press the SET button on the microphone to cycle through available frequencies until it pairs with the receiver channel. The LCD screen on both the microphone and receiver will display the synchronized frequency.

PM-1 Wireless In-Ear Monitor Operation

  1. Volume Adjustment: Use the volume control buttons on the PM-1 receiver (beltpack) to adjust the monitoring level in your in-ear monitors or headphones.
  2. Mono/Stereo Mode Selection: The PM-1 system supports both Mono and Stereo modes.
    • Mono Mode: Provides identical audio to both earpieces. This is ideal for precise tonal feedback and clear focus, especially for small gigs or when monitoring a single mix.
    • Stereo Mode: Delivers separate audio to each earpiece, enhancing spatial awareness and providing detailed mix control. This mode is perfect for live performances where a more immersive monitoring experience is desired.
Select the desired mode using the switch on the PM-1 transmitter, based on your audio source and monitoring preference.
  3. Battery Life: The PM-1 units provide approximately 5 hours of operation on a full charge (400mAh battery). Monitor the battery indicator lights to ensure sufficient power.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the receiver, microphones, and PM-1 units. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care:
    • For handheld microphones: Remove AA batteries if the microphones will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
    • For PM-1 units: Recharge the internal batteries regularly. Avoid fully discharging the batteries frequently to prolong their lifespan.
  • Storage: Store the system in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cable Management: Avoid sharp bends or kinks in cables to prevent damage.
  • Microphone Grille: Periodically check the microphone grilles for debris. If necessary, gently clean with a soft brush.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No sound from microphoneMicrophone or receiver not powered on; Batteries low/dead; Microphone muted; Incorrect frequency; Cables loose.Ensure all units are powered on. Replace batteries. Unmute microphone. Resynchronize frequency. Check all cable connections.
Interference or static noiseOther wireless devices nearby; Operating too far from receiver; Obstructions; Frequency conflict.Move away from other wireless devices. Reduce distance to receiver. Remove obstructions. Change microphone frequency using the SET button.
Low volume or distorted soundMicrophone volume too low; Receiver channel volume too low; Input level on mixer/amplifier too low/high.Increase microphone volume (if applicable) and receiver channel volume. Adjust input gain on your mixer/amplifier. Ensure microphone is not too close to sound source causing clipping.
PM-1 In-Ear Monitor not receiving audioTransmitter/receiver not powered on; Low battery; Incorrect audio input to transmitter; Headphones not connected properly.Ensure both PM-1 units are powered on and charged. Verify audio source is connected to the transmitter's INPUT. Check headphone connection to the receiver.
Short battery life for PM-1 unitsBattery degradation; Frequent full discharge.Ensure full charge before use. Avoid leaving units fully discharged for extended periods.
