1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the dehumidifier and retain this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

2. Product Overview

2.1 Components

The Newentor BDPT. 12L Dehumidifier consists of the following main parts:

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
  2. Remove all packing materials, including any tape or protective films.
  3. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.

3.2 Placement

Proper placement is crucial for efficient operation:

  1. Ensure the power cord is fully extended and not tangled.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  3. Do not use extension cords or power strips unless absolutely necessary and rated for the dehumidifier's power requirements.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel allows you to manage all functions of the dehumidifier:

4.2 Dehumidification Modes

Press the 'Mode' button to select from the following:

4.3 Setting Humidity Level

In Auto or Comfort mode, you can adjust the target humidity:

  1. Press the 'Humidity Setting' buttons (▲/▼) to increase or decrease the desired humidity level.
  2. The display will show the set humidity, then revert to the current room humidity.
  3. The unit will operate until the room humidity reaches the set level, then pause. It will restart if humidity rises.

The dehumidifier offers two methods for water removal:

4.5.1 Manual Drainage (Water Tank)

  1. When the water tank is full, the 'Tank Full' indicator will illuminate, and the unit will stop operating.
  2. Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
  3. Empty the collected water into a sink or drain.
  4. Slide the empty water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation.

4.5.2 Continuous Drainage

For continuous operation without emptying the tank, use the included drain hose:

  1. Locate the continuous drain port on the back or side of the unit.
  2. Remove the rubber stopper from the drain port.
  3. Connect one end of the provided drain hose to the port, ensuring a secure fit.
  4. Direct the other end of the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, large bucket), ensuring it is lower than the drain port on the unit for gravity drainage.
  5. Ensure the hose is not kinked or blocked to allow for uninterrupted water flow.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

5.1 Cleaning the Water Tank

Clean the water tank every few weeks or as needed to prevent mold and mildew growth:

  1. Unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the water tank from the unit.
  3. Wash the tank with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Dry the tank completely before reinserting it into the unit.

5.2 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently if the unit is used in a dusty environment:

  1. Unplug the dehumidifier.
  2. Locate the air filter cover, usually on the back or side of the unit.
  3. Remove the filter.
  4. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, or wash it with warm, soapy water.
  5. Rinse the filter thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling.
  6. Reinsert the dry filter and close the cover.

5.3 Storage

If storing the dehumidifier for an extended period:

  1. Unplug the unit and empty the water tank.
  2. Clean the water tank and air filter as described above.
  3. Allow the unit to dry for at least 24 hours in a well-ventilated area to prevent mold.
  4. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting Guide

Before contacting customer support, please refer to the following table for common issues and solutions:
