Setup and Installation
Child Weight and Height Guidelines
The MoMi URSO car seat is suitable for various age and weight groups:
- Rear-Facing Installation: For children from 3 kg up to 18 kg (approximately 0 to 15 months). This position offers maximum safety for infants.
- Forward-Facing Installation: For children from 15 months (or over 18 kg) up to 36 kg (approximately 12 years).
ISOFIX and Top Tether Installation
Follow these steps for secure installation using ISOFIX and Top Tether:
- Locate the ISOFIX anchor points in your vehicle.
- Extend the ISOFIX connectors from the car seat base by pressing the release buttons.
- Push the ISOFIX connectors onto the vehicle's anchor points until you hear a click and the indicators turn green.
- Push the car seat firmly against the vehicle seat back to ensure a tight fit.
- Unroll the Top Tether strap from the back of the car seat.
- Attach the Top Tether hook to the designated Top Tether anchor point in your vehicle (usually on the back of the seat or in the trunk).
- Tighten the Top Tether strap until the indicator on the strap turns green (if applicable) and there is no slack.
- Verify that the car seat is securely installed by attempting to move it from side to side and front to back. There should be minimal movement.

Swivel Base Operation
The swivel base allows for easy rotation of the car seat. To rotate, locate the rotation release lever (usually at the front of the base), press it, and turn the seat to the desired position (rear-facing or forward-facing). Ensure it clicks securely into place.
Infant Insert Installation
For newborns and smaller infants, use the provided special insert to ensure proper fit and comfort. Place the insert inside the car seat before securing the child. Remove the insert when your child outgrows it, typically around 6-9 months or when they can sit unassisted.
Operating the Car Seat
Adjusting the 5-Point Harness
Proper harness adjustment is crucial for your child's safety:
- Buckling: Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the central buckle until you hear a click.
- Tightening: Pull the harness adjustment strap (located at the front of the seat) until the harness is snug against your child's body. You should not be able to pinch any slack at the shoulder.
- Loosening: Press the harness release button (usually under a flap near the adjustment strap) and pull the shoulder straps outwards.
- Unbuckling: Press the red button on the central buckle to release the harness.

Headrest Height Adjustment
The headrest can be adjusted to 10 different positions to accommodate your child's height. To adjust, locate the headrest adjustment lever (usually at the top of the headrest or behind it), squeeze it, and slide the headrest up or down until it is just above your child's shoulders. Release the lever to lock it in place.

Backrest Recline Adjustment
The car seat offers 5 recline positions for optimal comfort. To recline the seat, locate the recline adjustment handle (usually at the front or side of the base), pull it, and tilt the seat to the desired angle. Ensure it locks securely into the chosen position.

Securing Older Children
For children weighing over 18 kg (typically from 4 years old) and up to 36 kg, the car seat can be used as a high-back booster. In this configuration, the child is secured using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt, routed correctly through the designated guides on the car seat. Ensure the vehicle's seat belt lies flat across the child's shoulder and hips, not on the neck or abdomen.
Maintenance
Cleaning Instructions
- Seat Cover: The seat cover is removable and machine-washable. Refer to the care label on the fabric for specific washing instructions (typically gentle cycle, cold water). Do not tumble dry.
- Plastic Parts: Wipe plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Harness Straps: Clean harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or machine wash, as this can weaken the webbing.
Storage
When not in use, store the car seat in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Do not place heavy objects on top of the car seat.
Troubleshooting
- Car Seat Feels Loose After Installation: Double-check that the ISOFIX connectors are fully engaged (green indicators visible) and the Top Tether is tightened correctly. Push the seat firmly into the vehicle seat.
- Harness is Difficult to Tighten/Loosen: Ensure the harness straps are not twisted. Check for any obstructions in the harness adjustment mechanism.
- Seat Does Not Swivel: Ensure the seat is not fully reclined or in a position that obstructs the swivel mechanism. Press the swivel release lever firmly.
- Headrest/Recline Adjustment is Stiff: Ensure no fabric or debris is caught in the mechanism. Apply gentle, even pressure when adjusting.
