5. Setup

Follow these steps for the initial setup of your inverter welder:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the welder and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the welder to a suitable wired electric power source (230V, 50/60 Hz). Ensure the power switch on the welder is in the OFF position before connecting.
  3. Ground Clamp Connection: Attach the negative electrode holder clamp to the appropriate terminal on the welder. Securely connect the ground clamp to the workpiece or welding table to ensure a good electrical connection.
  4. Electrode Holder Connection: Connect the electrode holder to the positive terminal on the welder. Insert an appropriate electrode into the holder.
  5. Welding Mask Assembly: Assemble the welding mask if it came disassembled. Ensure the protective lens is correctly installed.

6. Operating Instructions

Before operating, ensure all safety precautions are followed and the setup is complete.

  1. Power On: Turn on the welder using the power switch. The digital display will illuminate.
  2. Adjust Current: Use the control knob to set the desired welding current (Amperes) based on the electrode size and material thickness. The digital display provides precise feedback.
  3. Prepare Workpiece: Ensure the workpiece is clean and free of rust, paint, or grease. Secure the ground clamp firmly to the workpiece.
  4. Start Welding: Put on your welding mask and protective gear. Bring the electrode into contact with the workpiece to strike an arc. Maintain a consistent arc length and travel speed for a smooth weld bead.
  5. Monitor Performance: The IGBT technology ensures stable arc performance. Adjust current as needed during welding.
  6. Post-Weld Cleaning: After welding, use the chipping hammer to remove slag and the brush to clean the weld area.
