The Moni Kids Trio i-Size Car Seat is installed using the vehicle's 3-point safety belt. Always install the car seat in a rear-facing position.
- Place the car seat on the vehicle seat in a rear-facing orientation. Ensure the car seat base is flat against the vehicle seat.
- Route the lap portion of the vehicle's 3-point safety belt through the designated blue belt guides on the car seat base.
- Buckle the vehicle's safety belt.
- Pull the shoulder portion of the vehicle's safety belt firmly to remove any slack. Route the shoulder belt through the blue belt guide at the back of the car seat.
- Press down firmly on the car seat while tightening the vehicle's safety belt to ensure a secure fit. The car seat should not move more than 2.5 cm (1 inch) from side to side or front to back at the belt path.
- Ensure the carry handle is in the upright or designated anti-rebound position as per the vehicle's manual or car seat instructions.

- Attach the car seat adapters to the stroller frame according to the stroller's instruction manual.

- Lower the car seat onto the adapters until it clicks securely into place. Verify that the car seat is firmly attached by gently pulling upwards.
- To remove, press the release buttons on the car seat (or adapters, depending on the stroller model) and lift the car seat from the stroller frame.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Securing Your Child
- Place your child in the car seat. Ensure their back is flat against the backrest.
- Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the buckle until you hear a click.
- Pull the harness adjustment strap located at the front of the car seat to tighten the harness. Ensure the harness is snug against your child's body, and you cannot pinch any slack at the shoulder.
- Position the shoulder pads over your child's shoulders for comfort and to prevent strap irritation.

5.2. Adjusting the Headrest and Harness
The headrest is adjustable in 5 positions to accommodate your child's growth. The 3-point safety harness length adjusts simultaneously with the headrest.
- Locate the headrest adjustment lever, typically at the back or top of the headrest.
- Squeeze the lever and slide the headrest up or down to the desired position. The shoulder straps should be at or just below your child's shoulders when rear-facing.
- Release the lever to lock the headrest in place.
5.3. Adjusting the Canopy
The wide and adjustable canopy provides protection from sun and wind.
- To extend the canopy, pull it forward from the handle.
- To retract, push it back towards the handle.
5.4. Using the Footmuff and Support Cushion
The soft full-body support cushion and comfortable footmuff are designed for infant comfort, especially in cooler weather.
- The full-body support cushion provides additional padding and support for newborns and smaller infants. It can be removed as your child grows.
- The footmuff attaches to the car seat to keep your child's legs warm. Ensure it does not interfere with the harness system.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning the Cover
The car seat cover is removable and washable.
- To remove the cover, unfasten all straps and clips securing it to the car seat shell.
- Wash the cover by hand or machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach, tumble dry, or iron.
- Allow the cover to air dry completely before reattaching it to the car seat.
- Ensure all parts are correctly reassembled before using the car seat.
6.2. Cleaning the Harness and Plastic Parts
- Wipe plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Clean the harness straps with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not immerse the buckle in water or use harsh detergents, as this can affect its performance.
- Allow all parts to air dry completely.
7. Troubleshooting
- Car seat feels loose after installation: Re-check the vehicle belt routing and ensure the belt is pulled tightly to remove all slack. Press down firmly on the car seat while tightening the vehicle belt.
- Harness straps are difficult to adjust: Ensure the harness release button (if present) is fully pressed, or check for any twists in the harness straps.
- Buckle is difficult to engage: Ensure both buckle tongues are fully inserted until a clear click is heard. Check for any debris in the buckle mechanism.
- Child seems uncomfortable: Verify that the headrest and harness are adjusted to the correct height for your child. Ensure the full-body support cushion is used for smaller infants and removed when they outgrow it.
