To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ORIVISION ZY-UCH801 HDMI Capture Card, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Handle all cables and connectors carefully to prevent damage. Do not pull on the cables to disconnect.
  • Store the capture card in a safe place when not in use to prevent physical damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ORIVISION ZY-UCH801 HDMI Capture Card, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

6.1. No Signal or Black Screen

  • Check all connections: Ensure all HDMI and USB cables are securely connected to the correct ports on the capture card, source device, display, and computer.
  • Verify source output: Make sure your HDMI source device (e.g., game console, camera) is powered on and outputting a video signal.
  • Software selection: In your capture software (e.g., OBS Studio), confirm that the correct video capture device ('USB Video') is selected and active.
  • Resolution/FPS mismatch: Ensure the resolution and frame rate settings in your capture software match the output capabilities of your source device. Try lowering the resolution or frame rate in the software settings if you experience instability.

6.2. No Audio

  • Check audio settings in software: In your capture software, ensure the audio input for the capture device is enabled and correctly configured.
  • Source audio: Confirm that your HDMI source device is outputting audio.
  • External audio connections: If using the Mic or R/L ports, ensure your microphone/headphones are properly connected and selected as audio input/output in your computer's sound settings or capture software.

6.3. Low Frame Rate or Lagging Video

  • USB Port: Ensure the capture card is connected to a USB 3.2 Gen1 (or USB 3.0) port on your computer. USB 2.0 ports may not provide sufficient bandwidth for high-resolution/high-frame-rate capture.
  • Computer Performance: Verify that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for streaming/recording at your desired resolution and frame rate. Close unnecessary applications to free up system resources.
  • Software Settings: Reduce the output resolution or frame rate in your capture software to decrease the processing load on your computer.
  • Cable Quality: Use high-quality HDMI cables, especially for 4K signals.
