Setup
- Unpack the Scale: Carefully remove the digital food scale from its packaging.
- Battery Installation: The scale comes with a battery included. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Remove any protective tab from the battery before first use. Ensure the battery is correctly inserted according to the polarity markings.
- Placement: Place the scale on a flat, stable, and level surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces.
Operating Instructions
Turning On/Off
- To turn the scale on, press the ON/TARE button. The LCD display will illuminate and show "0.0".
- To turn the scale off, press and hold the ON/TARE button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale will also automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.
Changing Units
- The scale can display measurements in ounces (oz) or grams (g).
- To switch between units, press the UNIT button while the scale is on. The display will toggle between "oz" and "g".

Using the Tare Function
The tare function allows you to weigh multiple ingredients consecutively without removing the previous ones, or to subtract the weight of a container.
- Place an empty container on the scale platform. The display will show the weight of the container.
- Press the ON/TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0", effectively subtracting the container's weight.
- Add your first ingredient to the container. The display will show the weight of only that ingredient.
- To add another ingredient, press the ON/TARE button again to reset the display to "0.0".
- Add the next ingredient. Repeat this process for all subsequent ingredients.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: The glass top is easy to clean. Wipe the scale surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse the scale in water or use abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the scale in a cool, dry place. Avoid placing heavy objects on the scale when not in use.
- Battery Replacement: If the display shows "LO" or becomes dim, replace the battery (CR2032). Ensure proper polarity during replacement.
