4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge your Tonnlog V69. Connect the provided USB-C data cable to the device's Type-C port and a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). A full charge takes approximately 40 minutes and provides up to 20 hours of continuous recording.

4.2 Power On/Off

To power on the device, slide the Record/Save button upwards. The screen will illuminate. To power off, slide the Record/Save button downwards. The device will automatically save any active recording before powering off.

4.3 Initial Settings (Language, Date/Time)

Upon first use or after a reset, you may need to set the language and date/time. Refer to the included Quick Guide card for detailed steps:

  1. Long press the M button to enter the menu.
  2. Navigate to [System Settings].
  3. Select [Language] to choose your preferred language.
  4. Select [Date and Time] to adjust the current date and time.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Recording

To start recording, simply slide the Record/Save button upwards. The device will begin recording immediately. To stop and save the recording, slide the Record/Save button downwards. Recordings are automatically named by date and time for easy organization.

5.2 Playback

Press the Play/Pause button to function as a basic MP3 player. You can play or pause recordings and music files. Use the Previous and Next buttons to navigate between files.

5.3 Deleting Recordings

To delete a recording, long-press the Delete button. You will be prompted to choose between deleting a single recording or all recordings.

5.4 Voice Activated Recording (VOR)

The VOR function allows the recorder to start recording automatically when sound is detected and pause when it falls below a certain decibel level. This reduces silent portions and optimizes memory usage. VOR has 7 adjustable decibel levels and is off by default. To activate and configure VOR, access the device's menu and navigate to the VOR settings.
