Setup

1. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the cable to the charging port on the device and a compatible USB power source (laptop, car charger, power bank). The battery indicator lights will show charging progress.

Operating Instructions

The i Cafilas ME2218 offers two brewing methods: ground coffee and NS capsules, and supports both hot and cold water brewing.

Brewing with Ground Coffee:

1. Ensure the device is fully charged.
2. Unscrew the portafilter from the main unit.
3. Insert the ground coffee adapter into the portafilter.
4. Add approximately 8-10g of fine ground coffee into the adapter. Gently tamp the coffee if desired.
5. Screw the portafilter back onto the main unit tightly.
6. Unscrew the water tank lid and add water. For a single shot (30ml/1oz), fill to the 40ml mark. For a double shot (60ml/2oz), fill to the 70ml mark.
7. Screw the water tank lid back on.
8. Place the coffee maker directly over your cup.
9. For Hot Brew: Press the power button once to start. The device will heat the water and extract espresso automatically.
10. For Cold Brew: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to start. The device will extract espresso using cold water.
11. The device will automatically stop once brewing is complete.

Brewing with NS Capsules:

1. Ensure the device is fully charged.
2. Unscrew the portafilter from the main unit.
3. Insert the NS capsule adapter into the portafilter.
4. Place an NS capsule into the adapter.
5. Screw the portafilter back onto the main unit tightly.
