Setup Guide
1. Connecting the Speakers
The XKX Computer Speakers are designed for simple plug-and-play operation. They connect via a single USB cable, which includes a built-in USB-C to USB adapter for wider compatibility.
- For USB-A Ports: Plug the standard USB-A connector directly into an available USB port on your computer (desktop, laptop, mini PC).
- For USB-C Ports: Use the built-in USB-C adapter to connect the speaker to a USB-C port on your device (e.g., newer MacBook, Mac mini, iMac, iPad, Android phones, and tablets).

The speaker draws power and audio signal directly from the USB connection, eliminating the need for external power adapters or audio cables.
2. Mounting Options
The XKX Computer Speakers offer versatile mounting options to suit your workspace setup:
- Clip-on to Monitor: The speaker can be gently clipped onto the top, side, or bottom of monitors with thicknesses ranging from 0.1-inch to 1-inch (2.5mm to 25.4mm). This saves desktop space and provides a clean setup.
- Desktop Placement: The patented clamp design also allows the speakers to rest smoothly and stably on your desk if preferred, without needing to be clipped to a monitor.

Volume Control
The XKX Computer Speakers do not feature physical volume control buttons. Volume adjustment is managed directly through your computer's operating system. This design simplifies operation by eliminating the need to adjust volume on both the speaker and the computer.
- Windows: Use the volume slider in the taskbar, or navigate to Sound Settings in the Control Panel.
- macOS: Use the volume keys on your keyboard or the volume slider in the Sound preferences.
- Other Devices: Adjust volume directly on the connected USB or USB-C device.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your XKX Computer Speakers.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the speakers. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speakers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Avoid dropping the speakers or subjecting them to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit, as this will void the warranty.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common questions and issues you might encounter with your XKX Computer Speakers.
- Q: Is it compatible with TV/TV-Box/Projector/Xbox/PlayStation?
- A: No. The USB speaker is primarily designed for use with computers. USB ports on other devices may not provide sufficient power to drive the speaker, potentially resulting in lower maximum volume levels or no sound.
- Q: Is it okay if I connect it to a USB hub?
- A: Connecting to a USB hub is not recommended. USB hubs may not provide enough power to drive the speaker, which can lead to audio issues such as distortion, cluttered sound, or constant audio cut-outs, especially at high volumes. For optimal performance, connect the speaker directly to a USB port on your computer, preferably a port on the back panel of a desktop computer.
- Q: Is there a microphone built-in?
- A: No, this device does not have a built-in microphone. For video calls or voice recording, it is recommended to use an external computer microphone.
- Q: How do I adjust the speaker volume?
- A: You can simply adjust the volume directly on your computer system (Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, Linux) or the connected USB-C device. There are no physical volume buttons on the speaker itself.
- Q: Can this speaker be used without clamping to a monitor?
- A: Yes, absolutely. The speaker's clamp design also allows it to be placed smoothly and stably on your desk without being clipped to a monitor.
