The RB48 Plus offers extended communication range, allowing you to stay connected with your team or family over significant distances, even in remote or mountainous areas. It provides coverage up to 350,000 sq. ft. or 30 floors in optimal conditions.

3.2. IP67 Waterproof and Dustproof

Built to withstand harsh conditions, the RB48 Plus is IP67 rated, meaning it is fully protected against dust ingress (0.1μm dustproof) and can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes without damage. This makes it ideal for use in heavy rain, dusty environments, or near water.

3.5. NOAA Weather Channels

Stay informed about changing weather conditions with access to 11 NOAA channels. This feature allows you to receive real-time weather alerts, helping you adjust plans and ensure safety during outdoor activities.

3.6. Emergency Alarm

In emergency situations, the remote emergency alarm function allows you to send a distress signal to teammates on the same channel, facilitating quick response and assistance.

3.7. Other Features

  • Vibration Reminder: Receive incoming information discreetly with a vibration alert.

4. Setup

4.1. Attaching the Antenna

Carefully screw the antenna clockwise into the antenna connector on top of the radio until it is firmly seated. Do not overtighten.

4.2. Installing/Removing the Battery

Align the battery with the battery compartment on the back of the radio and slide it into place until it clicks. To remove, press the release latch and slide the battery off.

4.3. Charging the Radio

Insert the radio into the charging base. Connect the Type-C charging cable to the charging base and plug the adapter into a power outlet. The indicator light on the charging base will show the charging status. Alternatively, you can directly plug the Type-C charging cable into the radio's USB-C port for charging.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off and Volume Adjustment

To power on the radio, rotate the top knob clockwise. To power off, rotate it counter-clockwise. Continue rotating the knob to adjust the volume level.

5.2. Channel Selection

Use the UP/DOWN buttons on the side of the radio to select your desired channel (1-30). The display will show the current channel number.

5.3. Push-to-Talk (PTT)

To transmit, press and hold the PTT button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive.

5.4. Emergency Alarm Activation

Press the SOS button to activate the emergency alarm. This will send a distress signal to other radios on the same channel.

5.5. NOAA Weather Channel Access

The radio supports 11 NOAA weather channels. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on how to access and monitor these channels for weather alerts.

5.6. Key Lock

To prevent accidental changes to settings, activate the key lock function. Consult the full user manual for the specific button combination to engage and disengage the key lock.

5.7. Disabling/Enabling CTCSS/DCS Tones
