4. Connecting Power

Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: The dash cam will automatically power on when connected to power and the vehicle ignition is on. To manually power on/off, press and hold the Power Button.
- Recording: Once powered on, the dash cam will automatically begin recording. The front, inside, and rear cameras will record simultaneously.
Recording Modes
- Loop Recording: Videos are recorded in segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes). When the memory card is full, the oldest unprotected files will be overwritten to make space for new recordings.

Parking Monitor & Motion Detection

Menu Navigation and Playback
Use the "Menu/Photo/Playback Button" to access the settings menu, take still photos, or enter playback mode. Navigate through options using the "Up Key" and "Down Key," and confirm selections with the "Confirmation Key." In playback mode, you can review recorded videos and photos directly on the 2-inch IPS display.
Maintenance
- SD Card Management: Regularly check the SD card for proper function. While loop recording manages space, it is recommended to periodically format the card (after backing up important files) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam's lenses and screen. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Temperature Considerations: The dash cam is designed to operate in a wide temperature range. However, prolonged exposure to extreme heat (e.g., direct sunlight in a parked car) or cold can affect battery life and performance. If possible, remove the dash cam from the windshield when parking in extreme conditions.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Dash cam does not power on. | No power supply; faulty cable; vehicle's cigarette lighter socket issue. | Check power connection. Ensure the car cigarette lighter socket is working. Try a different power source if available. |
| Recording stops or files are corrupted. | SD card full; incompatible or faulty SD card; SD card speed too slow. | Format the SD card regularly. Ensure you are using a high-speed (Class 10 or U3) SD card. Replace the SD card if issues persist. |
| Adhesive mount detaches from windshield. | Extreme temperatures; improper installation; old adhesive. | Ensure windshield is clean and dry before applying. Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods if possible. Use a new sticker pad if the old one loses adhesion. |
| No playback or difficulty navigating menus. | User unfamiliarity; temporary software glitch. | Refer to the "Operating Instructions" section for button functions. Perform a soft reset by pressing the Reset Button if the device is unresponsive. |
| Poor night vision quality. | Lenses are dirty; insufficient ambient light for IR. | Clean the camera lenses. Ensure the Night Vision feature is activated. |
