1. Product Overview

The Awoco 36-inch Under Cabinet Range Hood is designed for efficient ventilation in your kitchen. It features a sleek black stainless steel finish, 6-speed operation with up to 900 CFM airflow, gesture sensing touch controls, a remote control, and a 5W LED light bar.

2. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. This range hood is designed for under-cabinet mounting and requires external ducting.

2.1 Dimensions and Placement

The hood measures 35-3/4"W x 22"D x 7"H and weighs 40 lbs. The recommended installation height above the cooking surface is 27 inches, with a minimum of 24 inches and a maximum of 30 inches.

2.2 Venting Options

This model includes a 6-inch round top vent adapter. Other vent adapters (7-inch round, 8-inch round, 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular top, and 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular rear) are available for purchase separately to fit various installation needs. Ducts are not included.

2.3 Adapter Installation

To install a vent adapter, align it with the opening on the top or rear of the range hood and secure it with screws. If using a rear vent, first remove the back cover plate using a flat screwdriver, then install the rectangular rear vent adapter and cover the top opening with the provided top cover plate.

3. Operating Instructions

The Awoco range hood offers multiple control methods for ease of use.

3.1 Gesture Sensing Touch Control Panel

The touch control panel allows for hands-free operation using gestures. Ensure the gesture sensor button on the panel is enabled to activate this feature.

  • Swipe Right to Left: Decreases fan speed levels, turns off the motor, and shuts off the LED light.
  • Swipe Left to Right: Turns on the hood at speed 1 and increases fan speed levels.

3.2 Remote Control

A remote control is included for convenient operation from a distance. The touch control panel has a sensor to receive infrared signals from the remote.

3.3 Fan Speed and Airflow

The range hood features 6 fan speeds, providing airflow from 150 CFM up to 900 CFM. Speeds 1 and 2 operate very quietly. Two powerful motors ensure effective smoke and odor removal.

3.4 LED Lighting

The elegant 5W cold bright LED light bar illuminates your cooking space. It offers 2 levels of brightness, controllable via the touch panel or remote.

3.5 Auto Shut-Off Timer

The hood includes an adjustable auto shut-off timer (1-30 minutes) with a default setting of 10 minutes. This feature allows the hood to continue venting leftover smoke after cooking and then automatically turn off.

4. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and efficient performance of your range hood.

4.1 Baffle Filters

The commercial-style stainless steel baffle filters are easily removable and dishwasher safe. Clean them regularly to prevent grease buildup and maintain optimal airflow.

4.2 External Oil Collector

The range hood includes a 20-inch dishwasher-safe external oil collector. This collector efficiently manages cooking oils and grease, making cleanup convenient. Remove and clean it as needed.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Awoco range hood, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a functional outlet. Check your home's circuit breaker.
  • Fan Not Operating: Verify that the power is on and the fan speed is selected. If using gesture control, ensure it is enabled.
  • Poor Suction: Check if the baffle filters and oil collector are clean and properly installed. Ensure there are no obstructions in the ductwork.
  • Lights Not Working: Check if the LED light is turned on via the control panel or remote. If individual LEDs are out, contact customer support for replacement.
  • Gesture Control Unresponsive: Ensure the gesture control button is enabled on the touch panel. Clean the sensor area to remove any obstructions.
