This manual provides instructions for the EsaSam 9.7-inch Android 13 Car Stereo Multimedia Player. 3. Setup and Installation

This section outlines the general steps for installing your car stereo. Professional installation is recommended.

3.1 Compatibility Check

Ensure your vehicle's original center console matches the product's design for proper fitment. This unit is compatible with Renault Clio 4 BH98 KH98 models from 2012 to 2018.

3.2 Physical Installation

Carefully remove your original car radio and install the new unit using the provided mounting frame and wiring harness. Ensure all connections are secure.

3.3 Wiring and Connections

  • Power Connection: Connect the provided wiring harness to your vehicle's power supply.
  • GPS Antenna: Connect the GPS antenna and position it for optimal signal reception.
  • USB Cables: Connect the USB cables for external device connectivity.
  • Reversing Camera: Connect the AHD rearview camera. Ensure proper wiring for automatic display when reversing.
  • 4G Antenna (TS200, TS400, TS800): If your model supports 4G, connect the 4G antenna.

3.4 Steering Wheel Control Setup

To enable steering wheel controls, follow one of these methods:

  • With CANBUS: If your wiring harness includes a CANBUS module, connect the small white plug on the CANBUS. Then, access the system settings on the stereo and set the CANBUS protocol.
  • Without CANBUS: If your wiring harness does not have a CANBUS, navigate to the system settings and use the 'Steering Wheel Learning' function to program the original steering wheel buttons.

4.1 User Interface Overview

4.2 Key Features

  • Bluetooth Connectivity: The built-in Bluetooth system supports mobile phone pairing for hands-free calling and audio streaming. Access the Bluetooth menu to pair your device.

  • FM Radio with RDS: Tune into your favorite radio stations. The built-in RDS (Radio Data System) provides additional information like station name and program type (available on TS100, TS150, TS200, TS400, TS800).

  • GPS Navigation: The unit supports both online and offline maps. Offline maps require an internet connection for initial download. Access the navigation application to plan routes and receive turn-by-turn directions.
  • Wireless Carplay & Wired Android Auto: Connect your smartphone for seamless integration of navigation, music, and communication apps. Wireless Carplay and wired Android Auto are supported (Carplay is optional on TS100, built-in on TS150, TS200, TS400, TS800; Android Auto is built-in on TS200, TS400, TS800).

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your car stereo, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

7.1 Steering Wheel Controls Not Working

  • Check CANBUS Connection: If your vehicle uses a CANBUS system, ensure the small white plug on the CANBUS module is correctly connected and the CANBUS protocol is set in the system settings.
  • Perform Steering Wheel Learning: If your vehicle does not use a CANBUS, go to the system settings and use the 'Steering Wheel Learning' function to manually program the buttons.
  • Verify Wiring: Ensure all wiring connections for steering wheel controls are secure and correctly installed.

7.2 No Power

  • Check Fuses: Inspect the vehicle's fuse box and the stereo's inline fuse for any blown fuses. Replace if necessary.
  • Verify Power Connections: Ensure the main power cable is securely connected to both the stereo and the vehicle's power source.

7.3 No Sound

  • Check Volume: Ensure the volume is not muted or set to a very low level.
  • Speaker Connections: Verify that all speaker wires are correctly connected to the stereo and the vehicle's speakers.
  • Audio Source: Confirm that the correct audio source (e.g., FM, Bluetooth, USB) is selected.

  • Antenna Placement: Ensure the GPS antenna is placed in an area with a clear view of the sky, free from obstructions.
