Important Safety Information
Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the pressure washer. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Electrical Safety: Always connect the pressure washer to a grounded outlet protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). The unit comes with a 35-foot GFCI power cord for your safety. Do not use extension cords unless absolutely necessary and ensure they are rated for outdoor use and the appliance's power requirements.
- Water Pressure: High-pressure spray can cause serious injury. Never direct the spray at people, pets, or electrical devices. Always wear appropriate eye protection (safety goggles) and protective clothing.
- Stability: Ensure the pressure washer is on a stable, level surface during operation to prevent tipping.
- Nozzle Handling: Always engage the trigger safety lock when the pressure washer is not in use or when changing nozzles.
- Chemical Use: Use only pressure washer safe detergents. Follow detergent manufacturer's instructions for proper dilution and application.
- Children and Bystanders: Keep children and bystanders away from the operating area.
Assembly
The Greenworks Pro pressure washer is designed for quick and easy assembly. Follow these steps to prepare your unit for use:
- Attach the Handle: Secure the upper handle assembly to the main unit using the provided hardware. Ensure it clicks securely into place or is fastened tightly.
- Connect the High-Pressure Hose: Attach one end of the 25-foot kink-resistant high-pressure hose to the pressure washer's outlet and the other end to the spray gun. Hand-tighten securely.
- Attach the Spray Wand: Connect the metal quick-connect spray wand to the spray gun. Ensure it is firmly seated.
- Install Nozzles: Select the desired quick-connect nozzle (15°, 25°, 40°, soap, or turbo) and insert it into the end of the spray wand until it clicks into place.

Setup
Before starting any cleaning task, ensure your pressure washer is properly set up:
- Water Supply Connection: Connect a standard garden hose to the water inlet on the pressure washer. Ensure the water supply is turned on fully.
- Detergent Tank (Optional): If using detergent, fill the built-in detergent tank with an appropriate pressure washer detergent. The unit features a single on-board soap tank for convenience.
- Power Connection: Plug the 35-foot GFCI power cord into a grounded outdoor electrical outlet. Ensure the GFCI is reset if it trips.
- Purge Air from System: Before turning on the unit, squeeze the spray gun trigger to allow water to flow through the system and purge any trapped air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges from the nozzle.

Operating Instructions
Once assembled and set up, you are ready to begin cleaning. The Greenworks Pro pressure washer features a simple push-button start and a Total Stop System (TSS) which automatically shuts off the pump when the trigger is released, saving energy and prolonging pump life.
- Start the Unit: Press the ON/OFF button to power on the pressure washer. The motor will engage when the trigger is squeezed.
- Select Nozzle: Choose the appropriate nozzle for your cleaning task.
- Soap Nozzle: For applying detergent.
- 40° Nozzle (White): Wide spray for general cleaning of large areas, delicate surfaces, or rinsing.
- 25° Nozzle (Green): Medium spray for general cleaning of most surfaces.
- 15° Nozzle (Yellow): Narrow, powerful spray for tough stains and concentrated cleaning.
- Turbo Nozzle (Black): Rotating pinpoint spray for maximum cleaning power on stubborn dirt and grime. Use with caution on delicate surfaces.
- Begin Cleaning: Hold the spray gun firmly and direct the spray at the surface to be cleaned, maintaining a safe distance. Work in sections, overlapping slightly to ensure even cleaning.
- Apply Detergent (if applicable): With the soap nozzle installed, the unit will draw detergent from the tank when the trigger is pulled. Apply detergent to the surface and allow it to soak according to the detergent manufacturer's instructions.
- Rinse: Switch to a rinsing nozzle (e.g., 40° or 25°) and thoroughly rinse the surface, working from top to bottom.
- Shut Down: When finished, turn off the power switch, turn off the water supply, and squeeze the trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system. Disconnect hoses and store the unit.

Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Unit does not start | No power; GFCI tripped; ON/OFF switch off | Check power outlet; Reset GFCI; Turn ON/OFF switch to ON. |
Low pressure | Insufficient water supply; Clogged nozzle; Air in pump; Kinked hose | Ensure water supply is fully open; Clean nozzle; Purge air from system (squeeze trigger with water on); Straighten hose. |
Motor stops frequently | Total Stop System (TSS) engaging; Overheating | This is normal operation for TSS. If continuous, check for clogs or kinks. Allow unit to cool if overheated. |
Water leaks | Loose connections; Damaged O-rings | Tighten all connections; Inspect and replace O-rings if damaged. |
