3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Powering On/Off
The transmitters and receivers typically power on automatically when removed from the charging case and power off when returned. Refer to the device's specific indicators for power status.
3.2 Noise Cancellation (ENC)
To activate or deactivate noise cancellation, press the yellow button on the transmitter (TX). On the camera version receiver (RX), the indicator lights on top will remain green when noise cancellation is active. This feature helps to ensure clear audio by reducing ambient noise.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
Gently wipe the transmitters, receivers, and charging case with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the device.
4.2 Storage
Store the Lark M2 system in its charging case when not in use to protect it from dust and damage. Keep the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The recommended operating temperature range is -10°C to 45°C (14°F to 113°F).
4.3 Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the batteries frequently. Charge the devices regularly, even if not in constant use. The charging temperature range is 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F).
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Hollyland Lark M2, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- No Audio Output:
- Ensure both TX and RX units are powered on and properly paired.
- Check that the correct receiver (Lightning, USB-C, or 3.5mm) is securely connected to your recording device.
- Verify the volume levels on both the receiver (if applicable) and your recording device.
- Confirm that your recording device is set to use the external microphone input.
- Poor Audio Quality/Excessive Noise:
- Activate the Intelligent Noise Cancellation (ENC) feature by pressing the yellow button on the TX.
- Ensure the TX is positioned correctly on the speaker, ideally within 15-30 cm (6-12 inches) of the mouth.
- Check for potential interference sources (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other wireless devices) and move away from them.
- Use the included wind muffs when recording outdoors or in windy conditions.
- Connection Issues:
- Ensure the TX and RX are within the specified transmission range (up to 300m LOS).
- Obstacles between TX and RX can reduce range; try to maintain a clear line of sight.
- If pairing issues occur, place both TX and RX back into the charging case to re-initiate automatic pairing.
- Remote Video Recording Control Not Working:
- This feature is only compatible with smartphones that allow video recording or photo capture to be controlled by pressing a volume button. Verify your phone's settings.
- Mono/Stereo Switching Not Working (Camera Version RX):
- Ensure the 3.5mm audio jack is securely connected to a camera. This function is only supported in camera connection mode.
