1. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in fire, electric shock, serious injury, or death.

  • Electrical Installation: This electric sauna heater does not come with a plug. It is highly recommended to consult and hire a licensed electrician for proper wiring and installation to ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards. Incorrect wiring can lead to electrical hazards.
  • Sauna Stones: 30-40 lbs of sauna stones are required for proper operation. Sauna stones are NOT included with this item. Ensure stones are placed correctly to allow for air circulation and prevent overheating of heating elements.
  • Hot Surfaces: The sauna heater and stones become extremely hot during operation. Avoid direct contact to prevent burns. Keep flammable materials away from the heater.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation in the sauna room as per sauna construction guidelines.
  • Water Usage: Only pour small amounts of water over the hot stones to create steam. Excessive water can damage the heating elements and pose a safety risk.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the sauna heater at all times.
  • Supervision: Never leave the sauna heater operating unattended.

4. Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your Mxmoonant sauna heater. It is mandatory to have a licensed electrician perform the electrical wiring.

4.1 Pre-Installation Checklist

  • Ensure the sauna room size is within the recommended range (170-300 cu.ft) for the 6KW model.
  • Confirm that the electrical supply meets the 220V requirement and is properly grounded.
  • Acquire 30-40 lbs of appropriate sauna stones.

4.2 Mounting the Heater

The heater is designed for wall-mounting. Install the heater 7-12 inches (approximately 18-30 cm) above the ground to ensure proper air circulation and safety clearances.

4.3 Electrical Connection

This step must be performed by a licensed electrician.

  1. Locate the junction box on the heater.
  2. Loosen the screws and open the cover to access the wiring terminals.
  3. Connect the main power supply wires to the designated terminals: Ground (GND), Line 1 (L1), and Line 2 (L2). Refer to the wiring diagram provided on the heater's label and in the video.
  4. Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.
  5. Close the junction box cover and tighten the screws.

4.4 Placing Sauna Stones

Once the heater is securely mounted and wired, carefully place the sauna stones into the stone compartment. Arrange them to allow for optimal air circulation around the heating elements. Do not pack them too tightly.

5. Operating Instructions

The Mxmoonant sauna heater features an integrated digital control panel for easy operation.

5.1 Digital Control Panel Overview

The control panel allows you to set the desired temperature and operating time. It also displays the real-time temperature of the sauna room.

5.2 Setting Temperature and Time

  1. Power On/Off: Press the 'ON/OFF' button to turn the heater on or off.
  2. Set Time: Use the 'SET' button to enter time setting mode. Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' arrows to adjust the desired operating time (0-180 minutes).
  3. Set Temperature: Use the 'SET' button again to switch to temperature setting mode. Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' arrows to adjust the desired temperature (86-230°F / 30-110°C).
  4. The display will show the real-time temperature once settings are confirmed.
  5. The heater will automatically maintain the set temperature and shut off after the set time expires.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your sauna heater.

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the exterior of the heater with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the heater is completely cool and disconnected from power before cleaning.
  • Sauna Stones: Inspect sauna stones regularly for signs of crumbling or deterioration. Replace any broken or worn-out stones to maintain heating efficiency and prevent damage to the elements. Rearrange stones periodically to ensure good air circulation.
  • Electrical Connections: Have a licensed electrician inspect electrical connections annually to ensure they remain secure and free from corrosion.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your sauna heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
