Introduction

The Harfo Fingerprint Smart Door Lock provides advanced security and convenient access for your home. This manual will guide you through the installation, operation, and maintenance of your new smart lock, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Product Features

  • Advanced App Control: Unlock and manage your door lock with a user-friendly smartphone app, add and remove user codes, access user logs, and website management system. Notice: Paired with gateway (sold separately), you can unlock your keyless entry door lock anywhere anytime.
  • Multiple Access Methods: Access your smart deadbolt lock via App + Fingerprint + 3 IC Cards + Passcode + eKey sharing + Authorized Admin + 2 Physical keys + Thumb turn.
  • Auto Lock & One-Touch Lock: Set auto lock in 5-900s and simply press "#" on the keypad for 2 seconds to lock.
  • Easy Installation: Suitable for American standard left and right-handed doors. Installation could be finished in minutes, includes all necessary hardware and detailed instructions, with no wiring needed. Door thickness range: 1 3/8 inch to 2 3/16 inch 35mm-55mm thick.
  • Smart Home Integration: With the Harfo gateway(sold separately), You can voice control your alexa or google assistant to lock/unlock the lock, remotely access your smart deadbolt lock, receive real-time push notifications, monitor smart door lock status, etc.
  • Enhanced Security: 50 fingerprints, 250 passcodes, 1000 ic cards (3 include). Anti Peeping password keypad, privacy mode, passage mode, silent mode, Anti-wrong password, emergency power port to plug in a temporary power supply.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Harfo Smart Door Lock. Ensure your door thickness is between 1 3/8 inch and 2 3/16 inch (35mm-55mm).

1. Physical Installation

The lock is designed for easy installation on American standard left and right-handed doors. No complex wiring is needed.

2. Battery Installation

The lock requires 4 AA batteries (not included). Install them into the interior unit's battery compartment.

3. App Setup and Initial Configuration

Download the Harfo app (or TTlock app as indicated in some videos) from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your lock and set up the initial administrator passcode and fingerprint.

Operating Instructions

1. Unlocking Methods

  • Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
  • Passcode: Enter your registered passcode on the touchscreen keypad followed by '#'.
  • IC Card: Tap the IC card against the designated area on the lock's exterior.
  • Physical Key: Use the provided physical key in the keyhole located at the bottom of the exterior unit.
  • App Unlock: Open the app on your smartphone and tap the unlock icon when within Bluetooth range.

2. Locking Methods

  • Auto Lock: Configure the auto-lock feature via the app to automatically lock the door after a set period (5-900 seconds) once it's closed.
  • One-Touch Lock: Press and hold the '#' key on the keypad for 2 seconds to manually lock the door.

3. User Management

The app allows you to add and manage multiple users, assign unique passcodes, and register their fingerprints or IC cards. You can also set temporary or recurring access for guests.

4. Remote Access and Notifications (Gateway Required)

To enable remote unlock, voice control via Alexa/Google Assistant, and real-time push notifications, a separately sold Harfo gateway is required. This gateway connects your lock to your home Wi-Fi network.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the battery level is low, the lock will provide an audible warning. Replace all four AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. In case of complete battery depletion, an emergency micro USB port is available on the exterior unit to provide temporary power for unlocking.

Cleaning

Clean the touchscreen and fingerprint sensor regularly with a soft, dry cloth to ensure optimal performance. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting

IssuePossible CauseSolution
Fingerprint reader is finicky.Finger placement, dirty sensor, dry/wet finger.Ensure proper finger placement. Clean the sensor. Try a different finger or re-register fingerprint.
Keypad not responding.Low battery, screen not activated.Tap the screen to activate. Replace batteries if low.
Auto-lock not working after manual unlock.Auto-lock feature may only activate after electronic unlock.This is a design characteristic. Use electronic unlock methods for auto-lock to engage.
Cannot connect to app.Bluetooth range, app not paired, low battery.Ensure you are within Bluetooth range. Check battery level. Re-pair the lock with the app if necessary.
Voice control not working.Gateway not connected/configured, incorrect voice commands.Ensure Harfo gateway is properly installed and connected. Verify voice commands in the app.
