3.2. Power Connection Options
The W619 offers two methods for power connection:
- Direct Battery Connection (Power Line):
- Connect the red power wire to the motorcycle battery's positive terminal (+).
- Connect the black ground wire to the motorcycle battery's negative terminal (-) or a suitable ground point.
- Ensure the output voltage and current from the motorcycle battery are 12V and 1A respectively.
- The W619 has built-in reverse connection protection to prevent damage if wires are connected incorrectly.
- USB Boost Line Connection:
- Plug the 5V-12V USB boost line directly into your motorcycle's USB port.
- Ensure the motorcycle USB port outputs a current of 5V, 2.5A or higher.
- Note: If the USB port outputs less than 5V, 2.5A, it is not recommended to use the USB boost line as insufficient power may cause the screen to shut down. In such cases, use the direct battery connection.
