4. Setup and Installation
Installation of the Intex C1000 Filter Pump is straightforward. Follow these steps for proper setup:
- Position the filter pump on a firm, level surface near your pool, ensuring it is at least 10 feet away from the pool edge and within reach of a grounded electrical outlet.
- Ensure the pool is filled with water to the recommended level before connecting the pump.
- Connect the two hoses to the pump's inlet and outlet ports. The pump has clearly marked ports for inflow and outflow.
- Attach the other ends of the hoses to the corresponding inlet and outlet fittings on your above-ground pool. Secure all hose connections with the provided clamps to prevent leaks.
- Ensure the filter cartridge (Type A) is correctly inserted inside the pump housing.
- Once all connections are secure and the pump is positioned correctly, plug the electrical cord into a grounded outlet.
- Prime the pump by opening the air release valve on top of the pump until water flows out steadily, indicating that air has been purged from the system. Close the valve once water flows.
