3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two AAA alkaline batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Press down on the tab and slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two new AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagrams inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Important: Always use new alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period.

4. Operation

4.1 Basic Usage

The Allimity R14-CE is an infrared remote control. For proper operation, ensure a clear line of sight between the remote control and the infrared sensor on your Carrier AC Air Conditioner unit. Avoid any obstacles that may block the signal.

  • Power On/Off: Press the ON or OFF button to power the AC unit on or off.
  • Temperature Adjustment: Use the TEMP ▲ and TEMP ▼ buttons to increase or decrease the desired temperature.
  • Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through available operating modes (e.g., Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, Auto).
  • Fan Speed: Use the FAN SPEED button to adjust the fan's intensity.
  • Air Direction/Swing: The AIR DIRECTION and SWING buttons control the airflow direction and oscillation.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning
