Setup and Installation
Pre-Installation Checklist
- Verify that all components listed in the packaging are present and undamaged.
- Ensure there is adequate space and ventilation around the installation area for both the heater and pump.
- Confirm that your electrical supply meets the voltage and amperage requirements for both units.
- Have all necessary plumbing tools and materials, including SCH 40 1.5-inch PVC pipes.
Installation Steps
Heater Installation
- Position the heater on a stable, level surface, ensuring it is easily accessible for maintenance.
- Connect the heater to your pool or spa's plumbing system using 1.5-inch PVC pipe connectors. Ensure all connections are sealed to prevent leaks.
- For electrical wiring, note that the heater is designed for 220V operation. Refer to the wiring diagram for proper connection. This product requires self-wiring.

Pump Installation
- Place the SPA pump in a dry, well-ventilated area, close to the pool/spa and electrical outlet.
- Connect the pump to the plumbing system using appropriate 1.5-inch fittings. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
- Connect the pump to a dedicated 110V electrical outlet.
- Prime the pump by filling it with water before initial operation to prevent dry running.
Operation
Powering On
Before powering on the system, ensure that all plumbing connections are secure and the pool/spa is filled with water to the appropriate level. Turn on the main power supply to the heater and pump.
Temperature Control
The pool heater features a user-friendly touchscreen display. Use the 'SET' button and arrow keys to adjust the desired water temperature. The heater will automatically maintain the set temperature through circulation.

Diagram illustrating the automatic circulation heating process, showing temperature cycles between 25°C/77°F and 50°C/122°F. Recommended temperatures: 78-86°F for pools, 104°F for hot tubs/spas.
Pump Operation
The 1HP pump is designed to efficiently circulate water through the heater and filtration system. Ensure the pump is running whenever the heater is active to prevent overheating and ensure proper water flow.
Maintenance
Regular Cleaning
- Periodically inspect and clean the pump's impeller and filter basket to remove any debris that may impede water flow.
- Keep the heater's exterior clean and free from dust and obstructions to ensure proper ventilation.
Winterization
For regions experiencing freezing temperatures, it is crucial to properly winterize your system:
- Completely drain all water from the heater and pump to prevent damage from freezing.
- Disconnect the power supply.
- Store the pump in a dry, protected area if possible.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Heater not turning on | No power supply; tripped circuit breaker | Check electrical connections and reset the circuit breaker. Ensure proper voltage. |
| Water not heating sufficiently | Low water flow; incorrect temperature setting; heater size inadequate for volume | Verify pump operation and clean filters. Adjust temperature setting. Ensure pool/spa volume is within recommended limits (approx. 1000 gallons). |
| Pump not circulating water | Clogged impeller; air lock; motor issue | Disconnect power, inspect and clear any debris from the impeller. Prime the pump. If issues persist, contact support. |
| Water leakage | Loose plumbing connections; damaged seals | Inspect all pipe connections and tighten as necessary. Check for damaged O-rings or seals and replace if needed. |
If you encounter issues not listed here or if solutions do not resolve the problem, please contact customer support.
