3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge your HiBy R4 using the provided Type C to Type C charging cable and a compatible 20W PD charger. The device features a 4500mAh battery with a charging rate of 20W and PD 2.0 charging protocol, taking approximately 2 hours for a full charge.

3.2 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button located on the side of the device to power on or off. A short press will toggle the screen on/off.

3.3 Inserting a Micro SD Card

The HiBy R4 supports expandable memory up to 2TB. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the device and gently insert your card until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is formatted correctly (exFAT is recommended for large capacities).

3.4 Screen Protector and Case

Two front screen protectors are included, with one pre-applied. A TPU case is also provided for protection. Apply the additional screen protector if needed and use the TPU case to safeguard your device.

4.1 Basic Navigation

The HiBy R4 features a 4.7-inch high-definition LCD touchscreen and physical FN keys for navigation. Swipe and tap on the screen as you would with a smartphone running Android 12. The physical FN keys provide quick access to functions like key lock and screen rotation.

4.2 Audio Playback

The HiBy R4 supports a wide range of audio formats, including DSD 256 native, PCM768kHz/32bit, and MQA 16X unfolding. It utilizes system-wide SRC bypass technology to maintain original audio quality. The PCM/DSD dual circuitry allows independent operation of DAC, low-pass filters, and power supplies, optimizing audio output for different music files. The DSD circuitry reduces high-frequency noise for an enhanced auditory experience.

4.3 Bluetooth Connectivity

To connect Bluetooth devices:

1. Go to 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth Settings'.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is 'On'.
3. Select 'Bluetooth Scan' to search for available devices.
4. Choose your desired device from the 'Available Devices' list to pair.

The HiBy R4 supports high-definition Bluetooth codecs: UAT*, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, AAC, SBC. *In noisy environments (e.g., gyms) with signal fluctuations, choose Bluetooth modes like SBC for more stable connection.

4.4 WiFi and Streaming

With dual-band WiFi, the HiBy R4 allows downloading third-party apps from the Google Play Store when connected to a network. It also supports DLNA, AirPlay, and WiFi song transfer for seamless media management and streaming.

4.5 Storage Management

The device comes with 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM. You can expand storage up to 2TB by inserting a Micro SD card. Files can be transferred via USB-C (USB2.0 & USB3.2 Gen1, max transfer rate 5Gbps) or WiFi.

4.6 Class A Amplification

• Screen scratches: The screen is noted to be susceptible to scratches. Always use a screen protector and handle the device carefully.
