Setup and Installation

This flood light requires hardwiring. A junction box (4"x4") is not included. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.

  1. Prepare the Mounting Surface: Secure the mounting bracket to the junction box. Ensure the surface is clean and dry.
  2. Wiring: Connect the fixture's wires to your household wiring: black to live (L), white to neutral (N), and green/yellow to earth (E). Use the provided wire nuts to secure connections.
  3. Mount the Fixture: Attach the light fixture to the mounting bracket, ensuring the motion sensor faces outwards. Use the provided gasket and rubber plugs for a waterproof seal.
  4. Adjust Light Heads: Loosen the screws on the light heads to adjust their angle for optimal coverage. Tighten screws once adjusted.

Operating Instructions

The LUTEC flood light offers four versatile lighting modes, controlled by switches on the motion sensor unit. The motion sensor detects movement up to 69 feet within a 180° angle.

Lighting Modes:

  • Motion Sensor Mode: The light activates at 100% brightness when motion is detected at night and turns off after motion ceases.
  • Dusk to Dawn Mode: The light automatically turns on at 20% brightness at dusk and turns off at dawn. If motion is detected at night, it switches to 100% brightness.
  • Manual Override Mode: The light stays on at 100% brightness for 6 hours, regardless of day or night.
  • Test Mode: Allows testing of the sensor's functionality. The light automatically turns on for 5 seconds when motion is detected.
