4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the generator and all accessories from the packaging.
- Place the generator on a firm, level surface outdoors, away from windows, doors, and vents. Ensure at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) of clearance on all sides for proper ventilation.
- Inspect the generator for any shipping damage. If damage is found, do not operate and contact customer support.
4.2 Fueling the Generator
The AG1200 uses a 2-cycle engine, requiring a specific gasoline and oil mixture. Do not use pure gasoline.
- Ensure the generator is turned OFF and has cooled down completely.
- Prepare a fuel mixture of unleaded gasoline (87 octane or higher) and 2-cycle engine oil at a 50:1 ratio. Use the provided oil measuring cup for accuracy.
- Carefully pour the mixed fuel into the generator's fuel tank. Do not overfill.
- Securely close the fuel cap.
Warning: Gasoline is highly flammable. Handle with extreme care. Store fuel in an approved container in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources.
5. Operating Instructions

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable performance of your generator. Always ensure the generator is OFF and cooled before performing any maintenance.
6.1 Air Filter Maintenance
- Check the air filter every 20 hours of operation or monthly.
- Clean or replace the air filter as needed. A dirty air filter can reduce engine performance and increase fuel consumption.
6.2 Spark Plug Maintenance
- Inspect the spark plug every 50 hours of operation or every 3 months.
- Clean or replace the spark plug if it is fouled or worn. Use the provided spark plug wrench.
6.3 Fuel System Maintenance
- If storing the generator for more than 30 days, drain the fuel tank and carburetor to prevent fuel degradation and starting issues.
- Alternatively, use a fuel stabilizer according to the product instructions.
