4. Safety Information

  • Read all instructions carefully before installation and operation.
  • Disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal before making any electrical connections to prevent short circuits and damage.
  • Ensure proper grounding of the unit to the vehicle chassis.
  • Do not install the unit in locations where it may obstruct the driver's view or interfere with vehicle operation.
  • Avoid installing the unit in areas exposed to direct sunlight, excessive heat, humidity, or dust.
  • Use appropriate gauge wiring for power and speaker connections to prevent overheating and potential fire hazards.
  • If you are unsure about any installation steps, consult a professional car audio installer.

5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Physical Installation

The AINAVI D8 DSP is designed for an under-seat mount. Choose a location that is dry, well-ventilated, and protected from physical damage. Ensure sufficient space for wiring connections and heat dissipation.

  • Secure the unit using the provided mounting Velcro or other suitable fasteners to prevent movement during vehicle operation.
  • Ensure the chosen location allows for easy access to the control panel and ports for tuning and adjustments.

5.2 Wiring Connections

Carefully follow the wiring diagram to ensure correct and safe connections. Incorrect wiring can damage the unit or your vehicle's electrical system.

5.2.1 Power Connections

  • +12V (B+): Connect to the vehicle's positive battery terminal (or a constant 12V source) via a fused power cable.
  • GND: Connect to a clean, unpainted metal point on the vehicle chassis. Ensure a solid ground connection.
  • ACC (Ignition): Connect to a switched 12V source that turns on and off with the vehicle's ignition.
  • REM (Remote): Connect to the remote turn-on output of your head unit. This activates the DSP when the head unit is on.

5.2.2 Audio Input Connections

  • High-Level Inputs (4-Channels): Connect directly to your car's original speaker wires from the head unit.
  • Low-Level AUX Inputs (2-Channels): Use RCA cables to connect to the RCA outputs of your head unit or other audio sources.

5.2.3 Audio Output Connections

  • High-Level Outputs (8-Channels): Connect directly to your car's speakers.
  • Low-Level RCA Outputs (8-Channels): Use RCA cables to connect to external amplifiers for speakers or subwoofers. The DSP supports up to 4 external amplifiers or powered subwoofers.
