3. Setup and Assembly
Assembly of the KISLOT bed frame is designed to be straightforward, typically taking about 30 minutes with the included mini ratchet wrenches. Follow the steps below for proper setup.
3.1. Unpacking and Component Identification
Carefully unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface. Verify that all parts listed in the instruction manual are present and undamaged.

3.2. Frame Assembly
Begin by assembling the main frame components. Connect the side rails to the headboard and footboard using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are secure but do not fully tighten until all major components are in place.
3.3. Slat Installation
Once the main frame is assembled, install the wooden slats. The bed frame features 16 internal slats for optimal support. Lay each slat across the support beams and secure them as indicated in the detailed instructions. The thickened hardwood slats offer extra stability and eliminate the need for a box spring.

3.4. Leg Attachment and Final Tightening
Attach the solid wood cone-shaped legs to the frame. Ensure the extra 4 central support legs are also securely attached. Once all components are in place, go back and fully tighten all screws and bolts using the mini ratchet wrenches. Felt sponge pads are pre-applied to the legs to protect your floors and reduce noise.

4. Operating and Usage
The KISLOT bed frame is designed for optimal comfort and support. Place your mattress directly onto the wooden slats; no box spring is required. The embedded design of the bed frame helps prevent the mattress from slipping out.
4.1. Mattress Compatibility
This bed frame is compatible with full-size mattresses. For optimal support and aesthetic, a mattress thickness between 8 and 14 inches is recommended.

4.2. Under-Bed Storage
The bed frame offers 9.8 inches of clearance underneath, providing convenient storage space. This height also allows for easy cleaning, including the use of robot vacuums.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and appearance of your KISLOT bed frame.
5.1. Cleaning the Upholstered Headboard

5.2. Cleaning the Wooden Frame
Wipe the wooden frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the wood finish.
5.3. Regular Checks
Periodically inspect all connections, including bolts and screws, to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary to maintain the bed frame's stability and prevent squeaking.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your bed frame.
6.1. Squeaking Noises
- Cause: Loose connections or friction between parts.
- Solution: Check and tighten all bolts and screws. Ensure the felt sponge pads on the legs are intact and properly positioned to minimize noise.
6.2. Mattress Slipping
- Cause: Mattress not properly seated or bed frame not level.
- Solution: Ensure the mattress is centered on the slats. The bed end embedded design is intended to prevent slipping. Verify the bed frame is on a flat, level surface.
6.3. Parts Not Fitting During Assembly
- Cause: Misalignment, damaged parts, or incorrect orientation.
- Solution: Double-check the assembly instructions and diagrams to ensure parts are oriented correctly. If a part appears bent or damaged, contact customer support for assistance. Do not force parts together.
