4. Setup and Installation

The Chelino Blazer Car Seat must be installed using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt only. Follow the instructions carefully for the correct orientation based on your child's weight and age.

4.1. Rearward-Facing Installation (Group 0+)

For children weighing 0-13 kg (approximately 0-15 months). The car seat must be installed in a rearward-facing position. Ensure the car seat is reclined to the appropriate position for infants, typically indicated by a blue marker on the base.

4.2. Forward-Facing Installation (Group 1+2+3)

For children weighing 9-36 kg (approximately 9 months to 12 years). The car seat must be installed in a forward-facing position. Adjust the recline position as needed for the child's comfort and the vehicle's seat angle. Ensure the car seat is securely fastened with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt, following the belt path indicators on the car seat.

4.3. Adjusting Recline Positions

The car seat features a 3-position recline mechanism. To adjust, locate the recline lever (refer to Figure 2 for general location) and move the seat to the desired position. Ensure the seat locks firmly into place before placing the child in it.

5.1. Securing Your Child with the 5-Point Harness

1. Place your child in the car seat, ensuring their back is flat against the seat back.
2. Bring the shoulder straps over your child's shoulders and the waist straps across their hips.
3. Connect the two buckle tongues into the central buckle until you hear a click.
4. Pull the harness adjustment strap to tighten the harness. Ensure it is snug, and you cannot pinch any excess webbing at the child's shoulder.
5. Check that the non-slide shoulder pads are correctly positioned over the child's shoulders.

5.2. Harness Height Adjustment

The shoulder straps of the 5-point harness should be at or just below the child's shoulders when rearward-facing, and at or just above the child's shoulders when forward-facing. Adjust the harness height as your child grows to ensure proper fit and safety.

• Harness is Difficult to Tighten/Loosen: Check for any twists in the harness straps. Ensure the harness adjustment strap is free from obstructions.
