1. Product Overview
The HIBREW H10B is a programmable espresso machine designed for home use, featuring a robust brushed stainless steel casing and advanced customization options. It allows users to brew a variety of coffee beverages with precision and ease.

2. Setup and Initial Use
Package Contents:
Before first use, ensure all components are present:

First Time Setup:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and place the machine on a stable, flat surface.
- Clean: Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth. Wash the water tank, portafilter, and filter baskets with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Fill Water Tank: Fill the removable water tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line. Ensure the tank is properly seated in the machine.
- Preheat: Plug in the machine and turn on the power. Allow the machine to preheat until the display indicates it is ready. This typically involves running a few cycles of hot water through the system without coffee to prime the pump and clean internal components.
3. Operating Instructions
Brewing Espresso:
- Prepare Portafilter: Insert the desired filter basket (single or double) into the portafilter. Add freshly ground coffee to the basket.
- Tamp Coffee: Use the tamper to press the coffee grounds firmly and evenly. Ensure the surface is level.
- Attach Portafilter: Securely attach the portafilter to the brew head by aligning it and twisting it to the right until it locks into place.
- Place Cup: Position your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray beneath the portafilter spouts.
- Start Brewing: Select your desired coffee volume (single or double shot) using the control buttons. The machine will begin brewing.

Understanding the Pressure Gauge:
The built-in pressure gauge helps you achieve ideal extraction. The green zone indicates optimal pressure for balanced flavors. If the pressure is too low, use a finer grind or add more coffee. If too high, use a coarser grind or reduce coffee quantity.

Customizing Settings:
The H10B offers extensive customization through its intuitive LCD display and control buttons.

- Adjusting Coffee Volume: Press and hold the brew button for the corresponding mode (single or double cup) to adjust the coffee output. Release the button when the desired volume is reached. The range is 25-150ml for single and 50-300ml for double.
- Changing Temperature Unit: Press and hold the start button and the single cup button simultaneously to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
- Setting Water Temperature: Adjust the extraction temperature for hot (90-95°C / 194-204°F) or cold (25°C / 77°F) brew. Each click adjusts by 2°F.
- Adjusting Pre-Infusion Time: Long press to change the duration of pre-infusion (0-10 seconds) to enhance coffee flavor.




Using the Steam Wand for Milk Frothing:
The powerful steam wand allows you to create smooth and silky milk foam for lattes and cappuccinos.
- Prepare Milk: Fill a milk frothing pitcher with cold milk.
- Activate Steam: Turn the control knob to the steam setting. Wait for the machine to reach steaming temperature.
- Froth Milk: Submerge the steam wand tip just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam valve to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
- Clean Wand: After frothing, wipe the steam wand immediately with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying. Briefly purge steam to clear any internal blockages.

Making a Latte (4 Steps):
- Step 1: Fill the water tank and turn on the power to preheat the machine.
- Step 2: Add coffee grounds to the filter basket and tamp them down firmly.
- Step 3: Secure the portafilter basket to the machine and brew the coffee.
- Step 4: Use the steam wand to make milk froth and blend it with the brewed coffee.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning
Daily Cleaning:
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly. It is removable for easy cleaning.
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: After each use, remove spent coffee grounds and rinse the portafilter and filter baskets under running water.
- Steam Wand: As mentioned in the operating section, wipe and purge the steam wand immediately after each use to prevent milk buildup. The removable steam head can be detached for thorough cleaning to avoid blockages and corrosion.

Descaling:
Regular descaling is crucial to maintain machine performance and coffee quality. The frequency depends on water hardness. Refer to a descaling solution's instructions for proper usage. Generally, mix the descaling solution with water in the tank and run it through the machine, followed by several cycles of clean water.
