The NBBX Sprinkler Timer features a clear LCD display and intuitive buttons for easy programming. It includes an upgraded connector and is IP54-rated for outdoor use.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

The timer requires 2 x 1.5V 'AA' alkaline batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer.
  2. Slide open the battery cover.
  3. Insert two 'AA' alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

5.2 Connecting to Faucet and Hose

The timer is equipped with a 3/4" connector and includes a 3/4" to 1/2" adapter for universal compatibility.

  1. Screw the timer onto your outdoor faucet. Ensure the connection is hand-tight to prevent leaks. If your faucet is 1/2", use the provided adapter.
  2. Connect your garden hose to the bottom outlet of the sprinkler timer.

6. Operating Modes

6.1 Setting the Clock

Before programming, set the current time on the timer.

  1. Press the "SET CLOCK" button.
  2. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the hour (0-23 hours).
  3. Press the "OK" button to switch to minute adjustment.
  4. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the minute (0-59 minutes).
  5. Press "OK" to save the current time setting.

6.2 Automatic Watering Mode (Programming)

Customize your watering schedule with frequency, duration, and start time.

  1. Set Start Time: Press the "START TIME" button. Use "+" or "-" to select the desired watering start time (0-23 hours, 0-59 minutes). Press "OK" to confirm.
  2. Set Watering Duration: Press the "HOW LONG" button. Use "+" or "-" to set the watering duration (10-55 seconds, 1-59 minutes, or 1-99 hours). Use the "OK" button to switch between seconds, minutes, and hours. Press "OK" to confirm.
  3. Set Watering Frequency: Press the "HOW OFTEN" button. Use "+" or "-" to select how often the timer waters (1-59 minutes, 1-23 hours, or 1-7 days). Press "OK" to confirm.

6.3 Manual Watering Mode

To water immediately without affecting your programmed schedule:

  1. Press and hold the "Manual" button (faucet icon) for 5 seconds to enter manual watering mode.
  2. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to select the desired manual watering duration (0-55 seconds, 1-59 minutes, or 1-99 hours).
  3. Press "OK" to start watering.
  4. To stop manual watering, press and hold the "Manual" button again for 5 seconds.

6.4 Rain Delay Function

The timer features a rain delay function to pause watering during rainy periods, conserving water. Specific instructions for activating rain delay are typically found in the full product manual or on the device itself, often by pressing a dedicated 'Rain Delay' button or a combination of buttons.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Filter Cleaning

The timer is equipped with an inverted triangle filter to prevent clogs. Regularly inspect and clean the filter to maintain optimal water flow.

  1. Unscrew the timer from the faucet.
  2. Carefully remove the filter from the inlet.
  3. Rinse the filter under running water to remove any debris.
  4. Reinsert the clean filter and reattach the timer to the faucet.

7.2 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display or if the timer stops functioning. Refer to Section 5.1 for installation steps.

7.3 Winterization

Before the first frost, remove the timer from the faucet. Drain any remaining water and store it indoors in a dry, frost-free location. Remove batteries before storage.
