Setup Guide

1. Battery Installation

The safe requires 4 AAA batteries for operation. Ensure batteries are installed correctly before initial use.

  1. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the underside or rear of the safe.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

2. Mounting the Safe

The safe can be mounted in various locations such as under a desk, nightstand, on a wall, or inconspicuously in a vehicle. Pre-drilled holes on the upper, left, and right sides allow for flexible installation.

  1. Choose a secure and discreet location for mounting.
  2. Use the provided mounting bracket as a template to mark drill holes.
  3. Drill pilot holes and insert wall anchors if necessary (for drywall).
  4. Secure the mounting bracket using the provided screws.
  5. Attach the safe to the mounted bracket. Ensure it is firmly secured.

3. Setting Up Access Methods

The safe offers three quick access methods: biometric fingerprint, numeric passcode, and emergency key. It is recommended to set up at least one biometric fingerprint and a numeric passcode.

Setting Numeric Passcode

  1. With the safe door open, press and hold the setting button (located inside the safe) until you hear a beep.
  2. Enter your desired 3-8 digit passcode on the keypad.
  3. Press the setting button again to confirm. A beep indicates successful passcode setup.

Registering Fingerprints

  1. With the safe door open, press and hold the setting button until you hear one beep.
  2. Place your finger on the biometric scanner. Lift and repeat 4 times, ensuring different angles of your finger are scanned for optimal recognition.
  3. A beep indicates successful fingerprint registration. You can register up to 20 fingerprints.

Operating Instructions

1. Opening the Safe

To open the safe using your preferred method:

  • Fingerprint: Place a registered finger on the biometric scanner. The safe will unlock and open automatically upon successful recognition (access speed <0.2 seconds).
  • Keypad: Enter your programmed numeric passcode on the keypad. The safe will unlock and open automatically.
  • Emergency Key: In case of battery failure or forgotten codes, insert the emergency key into the keyhole and turn to open.

2. Mute Function

The safe is equipped with a mute button to reduce noise during operation.

  • To activate silent operation, press and hold Key "1" on the keypad. The green light of the scanner will flash once.
  • To deactivate the mute function, press and hold Key "1" again until you hear a beep.

3. Error Locking Function

For enhanced security, the safe features an error locking mechanism.

  • After 5 incorrect attempts (either fingerprint or passcode), the safe will automatically lock for 5 minutes, preventing further access attempts.

4. Interior Light

The safe includes an interior light for better visibility of contents.

  • The interior light automatically illuminates when the safe door is opened.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the keypad. Use the emergency key if batteries are completely drained.
  • Cleaning: Clean the exterior and interior of the safe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish or electronic components.

  • Safe not opening with fingerprint/passcode:

    • If issues persist, re-register your fingerprint or reset your passcode following the setup instructions.

  • Keypad unresponsive:
    • Check battery level.
    • Ensure no debris is obstructing the buttons.
  • Door not opening smoothly:
    • Check for any obstructions in the door mechanism.
    • Ensure the safe is mounted level and not under stress.
