2. Safety Information
- Read all instructions before operating the appliance.

4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the coffee maker for any damage.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the carafe, lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
- First Brew Cycle (without coffee): Fill the water reservoir to the 14-cup mark with fresh, cold water. Place the empty filter basket and carafe in position. Run a full brew cycle to clean the internal components. Discard the water.
- Placement: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Setting the Clock
To set the current time:
- Ensure the coffee maker is plugged in. The display will flash.
- Press the 'HOUR' button to adjust the hour. Press and hold for faster adjustment.
- Press the 'MINUTE' button to adjust the minutes. Press and hold for faster adjustment.
- The clock is set automatically after a few seconds of inactivity.
5.2. Brewing Coffee
- Open the top lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water to your desired level (up to 14 cups).
- Place the reusable filter basket into its holder. Add your desired amount of ground coffee to the filter basket. A general guideline is 1 tablespoon of coffee per cup.
- Close the top lid securely.
- Place the empty glass carafe on the warming plate.
- Press the 'BREW/OFF' button to start brewing. The display will indicate the brewing process.
- The coffee maker will automatically keep the coffee warm for a period after brewing.
5.3. Programming Delay Brew
To set a delayed brew time:
- Prepare the coffee maker with water and coffee grounds as described in section 5.2.
- Press the 'PROGRAM' button. The display will show 'PROGRAM' and allow you to set the desired brew start time using the 'HOUR' and 'MINUTE' buttons.
- Once the desired time is set, press the 'PROGRAM' button again to confirm. The 'PROGRAM' indicator will light up.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

6.2. Descaling

- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution or vinegar mixture.

- Discard the solution and run 2-3 cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse thoroughly.
