When the mouse's performance degrades or the light indicator signals low battery, replace the two AA batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in Section 4.1.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Mouse not responding:
    • Ensure the mouse is powered on.
    • Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
    • Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port. Try a different USB port.
    • Move the mouse closer to the USB receiver to rule out interference or range issues.
  • Erratic cursor movement:
    • Clean the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse.
    • Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface. Avoid highly reflective or transparent surfaces.
    • Check for potential wireless interference from other 2.4GHz devices.
  • Side buttons not working on Mac OS:
    • This is a known compatibility limitation. Mac OS may not natively support the forward/back buttons without third-party software.
