3. Setup

3.1 Installing Batteries

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the mouse.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Connecting the USB Receiver

  1. Locate the USB Nano Receiver, typically stored within the battery compartment of the mouse.
  2. Remove the USB receiver from its storage slot.
  3. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer (laptop or desktop).
  4. Turn on the mouse using the OFF/ON switch located on the underside.
  5. Your computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. This is a plug-and-play device.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

Once connected, the mouse is ready for use. Move the mouse on a flat surface to control the cursor on your screen. Use the left and right buttons for clicking and the scroll wheel for vertical navigation.

4.2 DPI Adjustment

The mouse features 6 adjustable DPI levels to customize cursor sensitivity. Press the DPI Switch button (7) located behind the scroll wheel to cycle through the settings:

Each press of the DPI button will change the sensitivity, indicated by the light indicator (4).

4.3 Side Buttons (Forward/Back)

The forward (2) and back (3) buttons are pre-programmed for navigation in web browsers and file explorers. These buttons enhance productivity by allowing quick page navigation.

Note: On Mac OS, the side buttons may not be applicable or require specific software configuration.

The TechRise Wireless Mouse is designed for extended battery life, up to 30 months, through advanced power management features.

5.1 Power Saving Features

5.2 Battery Replacement

When the mouse performance degrades or the light indicator (4) flashes, it may be time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps in Section 3.1 to replace the two AA batteries.
