1. Important Safety Instructions

Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance to prevent injury or damage. Keep this manual for future reference.

  • Ensure the cooktop is installed by a qualified technician according to local codes and the provided wiring diagram.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • This cooktop features overheat protection and an automatic safety shutoff.
  • After shutdown, there is residual heat in the heating element and the black crystal panel. Exercise caution to avoid burns. The surface will return to normal temperature after approximately 10 minutes.

3. Setup and Installation

The VBGK Electric Cooktop offers flexible installation options as either a built-in unit or a countertop appliance. Ensure proper electrical connection before use.

Installation Options:

  • Countertop Use: Simply place the cooktop on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  • Built-in Design: The cooktop can be integrated into a kitchen counter. Refer to the provided wiring diagram and installation instructions for precise cutout dimensions and electrical connections. Professional installation is recommended for built-in applications.

Electrical Connection:

The electric cooktop operates on 110-120 Volts and comes with a plug. A wiring diagram is included for installation purposes, especially for built-in setups. Always ensure the power supply matches the appliance requirements.

4. Operating Instructions

The VBGK Electric Cooktop features intuitive knob and touch controls for easy operation. Each burner has an independent LED display.

Powering On/Off:

  • To turn on, rotate the desired burner's control knob or press the power button (if available on your model).
  • To turn off, rotate the control knob to the '0' position or press the power button again.

Adjusting Power and Temperature:

  • The cooktop offers 9 power levels and 10 temperature settings.
  • Use the control knobs to select the desired power level (0-9) or temperature. The LED display will show the current setting.
  • For rapid heating, select a higher power level. For simmering or keeping warm, choose a lower setting.

Timer Function:

  • The integrated timer can be set from 1 to 99 minutes.
  • To activate the timer, press the timer button (often indicated by a clock icon) and then use the control knobs to set the desired duration.
  • The cooktop will automatically shut off the selected burner(s) once the timer expires.

Child Safety Lock:

  • To activate the child safety lock, press and hold the lock button (often indicated by a key icon) for a few seconds.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
