2. Setup and Initial Use

2.1. Package Contents

2.2. Connecting the Scanner

  1. Locate the vehicle's 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC). This is typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side.

3.3. ABS Diagnosis

The AL549 can retrieve and clear codes from the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for OBD2 standard vehicles manufactured prior to 2020. This function helps diagnose issues that may cause the ABS warning light to illuminate.

Note: ABS diagnosis function is not universally compatible with all cars and does not support newer car models after 2020.

4.1. Software Updates
