Maintenance
Cleaning the Soleplate
- Always ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the stainless steel soleplate with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive liquid cleaner specifically designed for iron soleplates.
- Do not use abrasive scouring pads or metallic cleaners, as these can damage the soleplate.
Anti-Calc Function
The iron is equipped with an Anti-Calc function to reduce mineral buildup. Refer to the smart screen for any indicators related to calc cleaning. Perform a calc-clean cycle as indicated by the iron or periodically, especially in hard water areas. Instructions for performing a calc-clean cycle are typically displayed on the smart screen or can be found on the manufacturer's website.

Figure 5: Pre-tested Iron Condensation
This image illustrates that it is normal to find condensation inside the water tank of a new iron, as all units are pre-tested with water at the factory to ensure proper function.
Storage
- After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank.
- Store the iron upright on its heel rest to prevent soleplate damage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outlet issue; auto shut-off activated. | Check power connection; try a different outlet; move the iron to reactivate. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water tank empty; temperature too low for steam; calc buildup. | Fill water tank; select higher temperature setting (e.g., Cotton or Linen); perform calc-clean cycle. |
| Water dripping from soleplate. | Temperature too low for steam; water tank overfilled. | Increase temperature; do not overfill water tank. The anti-drip system minimizes this. |
| Clothes sticking to soleplate. | Soleplate is dirty; incorrect temperature for fabric. | Clean the soleplate; adjust temperature setting according to fabric type. |
