1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective use of your Riseuvo 10AWG Inline Fuse Holder. This product is designed to provide circuit protection for various 12V applications, including automotive, marine, and solar systems. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation.
2. Safety Information
- Always disconnect the power source before installing or replacing fuses to prevent electrical shock or damage to the circuit.
- Ensure the fuse holder and fuse rating match the circuit's requirements. Using an incorrect fuse rating can lead to circuit overload and potential fire hazards.
- Do not exceed the maximum voltage (12V) and current (40 Amps) ratings of the fuse holder.
- Verify all connections are secure and properly insulated to prevent short circuits.
- While the fuse holder offers protection against moisture and dust, it is not designed for submersible use. Avoid direct immersion in water.
- If you are unsure about any installation steps, consult a qualified electrician or automotive technician.

5. Setup and Installation
- Identify the Circuit: Determine the 12V circuit where you need to add fuse protection. Ensure the circuit's current draw does not exceed 40 Amps.
- Disconnect Power: Before making any electrical connections, disconnect the power source to the circuit (e.g., disconnect the vehicle's battery).
- Cut the Wire: Cut the positive (+) wire of the circuit at the desired location for the fuse holder.
- Strip Wires: Carefully strip approximately 0.5 inches (1.2 cm) of insulation from the ends of the cut circuit wires and the fuse holder wires.
- Connect the Fuse Holder:
- Connect one end of the fuse holder wire to one end of the cut circuit wire.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder wire to the other end of the cut circuit wire.
- Use appropriate connectors (e.g., crimp connectors, solder) and ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated with electrical tape or heat shrink tubing.
- Insert the Fuse: Open the protective cap of the fuse holder. Insert a 40 AMP ATC/ATO standard blade fuse into the fuse holder. Ensure it is seated firmly.
- Close the Cap: Close the protective cap securely to seal the fuse from environmental elements.
- Reconnect Power: Reconnect the power source and test the circuit to ensure proper functionality.

6. Operation
Once installed, the Riseuvo Inline Fuse Holder operates automatically to protect your circuit. If an overcurrent condition occurs, the fuse inside the holder will blow, breaking the circuit and preventing damage to your connected devices or wiring.
Replacing a Blown Fuse:
- Identify Blown Fuse: A blown fuse will typically have a broken filament visible through its clear casing.
- Disconnect Power: Always disconnect the power to the circuit before attempting to replace a fuse.
- Open Cap: Open the protective cap of the fuse holder.
- Remove Old Fuse: Carefully pull out the blown fuse.
- Insert New Fuse: Insert a new fuse of the exact same amperage rating (e.g., 40 AMP) into the holder. Never use a fuse with a higher rating than specified for the circuit.
- Close Cap: Close the protective cap securely.
- Reconnect Power: Reconnect power and test the circuit. If the new fuse blows immediately, there may be a persistent short circuit or overload issue that needs to be addressed by a professional.
7. Maintenance
- Periodically inspect the fuse holder and its connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or damage.
- Ensure the protective cap is always securely closed to maintain its waterproof and dustproof properties.
- Clean the exterior of the fuse holder with a dry cloth if necessary. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Circuit not receiving power. | Blown fuse. | Replace the fuse with one of the correct amperage rating. Refer to Section 6. |
| New fuse blows immediately after replacement. | Short circuit or persistent overload in the connected device/circuit. | Inspect the wiring and connected device for shorts or excessive current draw. Consult a professional if the issue persists. |
| Fuse holder appears damaged or corroded. | Environmental exposure or physical damage. | Replace the fuse holder. Ensure the protective cap is always sealed. |
