4. Maintenance

Cleaning:

  • Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish.

Odor Control:

  • The cabinet features two vent holes on the back panel to aid in air circulation.
  • Ensure these vents are not blocked to allow for proper airflow and help dissipate shoe odors.

General Care:

  • Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary.
  • Avoid placing excessively heavy items on the shelves or countertop to prevent damage.
  • Keep the cabinet away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture to preserve its material integrity.

5. Troubleshooting

Doors Are Misaligned or Do Not Close Properly:

  • Check Hinge Adjustment: The hinges on the doors are adjustable. Refer to the assembly instructions or an online guide for adjusting cabinet door hinges. Small adjustments can often correct alignment issues.
  • Re-seat Hinges: Ensure all screws securing the hinges to both the door and the cabinet frame are fully tightened. Loose screws can cause misalignment.
  • Verify Frame Squareness: If the cabinet frame itself is not square, it can affect door alignment. Ensure the cabinet is on a level surface and that all frame connections are secure.

Cabinet Feels Unstable:

  • Check Leg Stability: Ensure all four metal legs are securely attached and evenly supporting the cabinet. The adjustable feet can be used to level the cabinet on uneven floors.
  • Utilize Anti-Toppling Device: Always install the included anti-toppling device and secure it to a wall stud. This is crucial for stability and safety, especially in households with children or pets.
  • Tighten All Fasteners: Recheck all screws and cam locks throughout the cabinet structure. Loose fasteners can compromise overall stability.
