3. Setup and Installation

Installation of the Fortdows car radio requires basic automotive electrical knowledge. It is recommended to have the unit installed by a professional if you are unfamiliar with car stereo wiring. Ensure the vehicle's battery is disconnected before beginning installation.

3.1 Vehicle Compatibility

This unit is designed for Nissan Sentra models from 2013 to 2017. If you are unsure about compatibility, please consult the manufacturer with a picture of your car's original radio.

3.2 General Installation Steps

  1. Remove Original Unit: Carefully remove the existing car radio and dashboard trim using the provided crowbar.
  2. Connect Wiring Harnesses: Connect the power cable, adapter, and other necessary wiring harnesses (including CanBus if applicable) to the new head unit and the vehicle's wiring. Ensure all connections are secure.
  3. Install GPS Antenna: Mount the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or under the windshield.
