This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your PowerA OPS v1 Wireless Controller. This controller is designed for use with PC, cloud gaming platforms, and mobile devices.

Controller Layout

Setup and Connection
The PowerA OPS v1 controller offers three connection methods: 2.4GHz Wireless, Bluetooth, and Wired USB-C.
Charging the Controller
Before first use, fully charge the controller.
- Connect the included USB-C charge cable to the USB-C port on the controller.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a powered USB port (e.g., PC, USB wall adapter).
- The LED indicator will show charging status.

2.4GHz Wireless Connection (PC)
For low-latency wireless gaming on PC.
- Insert the 2.4GHz USB wireless adapter into an available USB port on your PC.
- Power on the controller. The controller should automatically pair with the adapter.
- The LED indicator on the controller will confirm a successful connection.
Bluetooth Connection (Mobile, Smart TV, PC)
For wireless gaming with Bluetooth-enabled devices.
- Ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled.
- On the controller, press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button (refer to controller layout for exact location) until the LED indicator begins to flash rapidly.
- On your device, search for new Bluetooth devices and select "PowerA OPS v1" from the list.
- The LED indicator on the controller will become solid when paired.
Wired USB-C Connection (PC, Mobile)
For a direct, stable connection and charging.
- Connect the USB-C charge cable to the controller.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on your PC or compatible mobile device.
- The controller will automatically switch to wired mode.

Operating the Controller
Hall Effect Thumbsticks and Triggers
The controller features Hall Effect sensors in its thumbsticks and triggers, providing precise and durable input. These sensors use magnets to detect movement, reducing wear and tear compared to traditional potentiometers.

Mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons
The controller includes four customizable Advanced Gaming Buttons on the rear. These buttons can be programmed to replicate any standard button input, allowing for personalized control schemes.
- Press the Program button on the back of the controller. The Program LED will flash.
- Press the Advanced Gaming Button (AGR1, AGR2, AGL1, AGL2) you wish to map. The Program LED will flash slowly.
- Press the standard button (A, B, X, Y, LB, RB, LT, RT, D-pad, Left Stick Click, Right Stick Click) you want to assign to the Advanced Gaming Button. The Program LED will flash 3 times to confirm.
- To clear a mapping, repeat steps 1-2, then press the Program button again.

3-Way Trigger Locks
Adjust the travel distance of the triggers (LT/RT) using the 3-way trigger locks. This feature allows you to optimize trigger response for different game genres, such as reducing travel for faster shooting in action games.
- Locate the trigger lock switches on the underside of the controller.
- Slide the switch to one of the three positions to adjust the trigger travel.
- Position 1: Full trigger travel (default).
- Position 2: Medium trigger travel.
- Position 3: Shortest trigger travel.
Turbo Button
The Turbo button allows you to activate rapid-fire functionality for specific buttons (ABXY, LB/RB, Select/Start).
- Press and hold the Turbo button.
- While holding Turbo, press the button you wish to apply turbo functionality to.
- Release both buttons. Now, holding down the selected button will activate rapid-fire.
- To disable turbo for a button, press and hold the Turbo button, then press the turbo-enabled button again.
Dual Rumble Motors
The integrated dual rumble motors provide tactile feedback, enhancing immersion in compatible games.
Maintenance
Battery Care
- To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the controller frequently.
- Store the controller in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
- Use only the provided USB-C cable or a certified equivalent for charging.
Cleaning
- Disconnect the controller from all devices before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the controller.
- For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Troubleshooting
Controller Not Connecting
- Check Battery: Ensure the controller is sufficiently charged. Connect it via USB-C cable to charge.
- 2.4GHz Adapter: Ensure the USB adapter is fully inserted into the PC's USB port. Try a different USB port.
- Bluetooth Pairing: Ensure your device's Bluetooth is on and the controller is in pairing mode (rapidly flashing LED). Forget the device on your system and re-pair.
- Wired Connection: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the controller and the device.
- Restart Devices: Restart your PC or mobile device and try connecting again.
Buttons Not Responding or Mapped Incorrectly
- Reset Mappings: Clear any custom mappings for the Advanced Gaming Buttons as described in the "Mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons" section.
- App Support: For advanced settings and firmware updates, download the PowerA PC HQ App from the official PowerA website. This can resolve profile setting issues.
Rumble Motors Not Working
- Game Compatibility: Ensure the game you are playing supports rumble feedback.
- Driver/Software: Check if your PC drivers or game settings have rumble disabled.
