4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Powering On the Receiver

  1. Unpack the HTZSAFE Wireless Alarm Receiver from its packaging.
  2. Plug the receiver into a standard electrical wall outlet. The indicator light may briefly illuminate.

4.2 Pairing Sensors with the Receiver

To enable the receiver to detect alerts from your HTZSAFE sensors, they must be paired:

  1. On the receiver, press and hold the Melody button (located on the side) for approximately 3-5 seconds until you hear a short beep or see the indicator light flash rapidly. This indicates the receiver is in pairing mode.
  2. Within 10 seconds, trigger the HTZSAFE sensor you wish to pair. For example, if it's a motion sensor, walk in front of it. If it's a door/window sensor, open or close the door/window.
  3. The receiver will emit a confirmation sound (e.g., a chime or a specific melody) and its indicator light will flash, signifying successful pairing.
  4. To pair additional sensors, repeat steps 1-3 for each sensor. The receiver can store up to 32 unique sensor pairings.

4.3 Selecting Melodies

The receiver offers 35 distinct melodies. You can assign a different melody to each paired sensor for easy identification of the triggered zone:

  1. While the receiver is in normal operating mode (not pairing mode), press the Melody button repeatedly to cycle through the available melodies.
  2. Once you hear the desired melody for a specific sensor, stop pressing the button.
  3. To assign this melody to a sensor, immediately trigger that sensor (e.g., activate the motion sensor). The receiver will play the selected melody, confirming the assignment.
  4. Repeat this process for other sensors if you wish to assign them different melodies.

4.4 Adjusting Volume Levels

The receiver has 4 adjustable volume levels:

  1. Press the Volume button (located on the side) repeatedly to cycle through the 4 volume levels.
  2. Each press will change the volume, allowing you to select the appropriate loudness for your environment.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the receiver is powered on and sensors are paired, it will operate automatically:

  • When a paired HTZSAFE sensor is triggered (e.g., by motion detection or a door opening), the receiver will immediately play the assigned melody and its indicator light will flash.
  • The duration of the melody and light flash depends on the specific alert type and melody selected.
  • The receiver will remain in standby mode until another sensor event occurs.

6. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your HTZSAFE Wireless Alarm Receiver, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep Dry: Avoid exposing the receiver to water, moisture, or high humidity.
  • Clean Gently: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Temperature: Operate and store the device within recommended temperature ranges (typically room temperature). Avoid extreme heat or cold.
  • Avoid Disassembly: Do not attempt to open or repair the receiver yourself. This can void the warranty and cause damage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HTZSAFE Wireless Alarm Receiver, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Receiver Not Powering On: Ensure the receiver is securely plugged into a functional electrical outlet. Test the outlet with another device.
  • No Alert from Triggered Sensor:
    • Verify that the sensor itself is functioning correctly (e.g., its own indicator light activates when triggered).
    • Confirm that the sensor is properly paired with the receiver by following the pairing instructions in Section 4.2.
    • Check the receiver's volume level (Section 4.4) to ensure it is not set to the lowest setting.
  • Short Range or Intermittent Alerts:
    • Ensure there are no large metal objects, thick walls, or other wireless devices causing interference between the sensor and the receiver.
    • Try relocating the receiver or the sensor to improve signal strength.
  • Unwanted Alerts: If the receiver is triggering without a sensor activation, ensure no other wireless devices are causing interference. If using motion sensors, verify they are positioned to avoid false alarms from pets or moving foliage.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact HTZSAFE customer support for further assistance.
