Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective use of your MESCOMB 5-in-1 Hair Air Styler, Model SM-5319. This versatile styling tool is designed for drying, curling, volumizing, and straightening hair with various attachments. It is suitable for all hair types. Important Safety Information

When using the hair dryer, maintain a distance of at least 3 cm (approximately 1.2 inches) from the air outlet and 10 cm (approximately 4 inches) from the air inlet. Placing the air outlet or inlet too close to your hair may result in hair burning or becoming caught in the air intake, leading to damage.

Always ensure your hands are dry before plugging in or unplugging the device. Do not use near water or while bathing. Unplug the device immediately after use and before cleaning.

Using the Hair Dryer Nozzle

The hair dryer nozzle provides powerful airflow for quick drying, minimizing heat damage. The high-speed motor reaches 110,000 RPM, generating a powerful airflow of 20M/s.

  1. Choose the appropriate heat and speed settings based on your hair type.
  2. Section your hair.
  3. Start drying at the roots, moving the dryer downwards.
  4. For added volume, dry your hair upwards at the roots.
  5. Use a cool shot (Natural setting) to set your style and add shine.
  6. Always maintain a safe distance from your scalp and avoid directing the dryer at one spot for too long to prevent heat damage.

Using the Auto-Wrap Curlers

The auto-wrap curlers utilize Coanda technology to automatically wrap and curl your hair. Two curlers are included for different curling directions (left and right).

Preparation for Long-lasting Curls:
  • Clean, Dry Hair: Start with clean, dry hair for better curl retention.
  • Moisture Level: Use the auto-wrap curler on slightly damp hair. Hair that is too wet will not form curls, and hair that is too dry may not hold them.
  • Heat Protectant: Apply a heat protectant to prevent damage.
Curling Technique:
  1. Section Your Hair: Divide hair into small sections for defined curls. Avoid grabbing sections that are too large; aim for about 1 inch (2.5 cm) and ensure it's tangle-free.
  2. Wrap Method: Position hair at the front of the barrel. It will be drawn in automatically. Ensure the ends point in the same direction as the arrow on the wand, which indicates the wind's rotation. Get hair close to the wand.
  3. Hold Time: Hold for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Cooling Time: Allow curls to cool completely for lasting shape. Do not brush out curls immediately; wait a few minutes to let them set.
  5. Finishing Touches: Use a flexible hairspray to hold curls without stiffness. For longer-lasting hold, consider using styling gel or hairspray.

Using the Oval Volumizing Brush

The oval brush is designed for drying, volumizing, smoothing, and straightening, creating a glossy blowout effect. It features dual bristle types for tangle-free styling.

  1. Ensure hair is towel-dried before use.
  2. Section hair into manageable parts.
  3. Place the brush near the roots and brush downwards, rotating slightly to create tension.
  4. Repeat until hair is dry and styled as desired.
  5. The brush helps to volumize hair at the root, detangle, and add shine.

The round brush is ideal for creating soft waves, curls, or adding body and bounce to your hair.

  1. Work with small sections of damp hair.
  2. Wrap a section of hair around the brush, starting from the ends and rolling towards the roots.
  3. Apply heat, then use the cool shot (Natural setting) to set the style before unwrapping.
  4. Repeat for all sections.
