1. Product Overview

The Heayzoki Mini Dash Cam 1080P HD is a compact driving recorder designed to capture high-definition video footage while driving. It features a 1.6-inch color display screen for easy operation and playback, supports loop recording to ensure continuous recording, and includes motion detection functionality for enhanced security.

4. Setup

4.1 Inserting a Memory Card

The dash cam supports up to 32GB storage. A memory card (not included) is required for recording.

1. Locate the small memory card slot on the side of the dash cam.
2. Insert a compatible microSD card into the slot with the contacts facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place.
3. To remove, gently push the card until it springs out.

Note: Format the memory card in the dash cam's settings menu before first use to ensure optimal performance.

4.2 Mounting the Dash Cam

Use the provided suction cup bracket to securely mount the dash cam on your vehicle's windshield.

1. Clean the desired area on your windshield thoroughly to ensure a strong suction.
2. Attach the dash cam to the bracket.
3. Press the suction cup firmly against the windshield and flip the lever to secure it.
4. Adjust the camera angle to ensure a clear view of the road ahead.

4.3 Connecting Power

Connect the dash cam to your vehicle's power source using the provided car charger.

1. Plug the small end of the USB power cord into the USB interface on the dash cam.
2. Plug the car charger adapter into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
3. The dash cam will typically power on automatically when the vehicle starts and power off when the vehicle is turned off.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• Automatic: The dash cam powers on automatically when connected to vehicle power and the ignition is turned on. It powers off when the ignition is turned off.
• Manual: Press and hold the Power/OK button (labeled "Switch, confirm, start, pause" in diagram) to manually power on or off the device.

5.2 Recording Video

Once powered on with a memory card inserted, the dash cam will typically begin recording automatically.

• A red dot or similar indicator on the display screen confirms recording is active.
• Press the Power/OK button briefly to start or stop recording manually.

5.3 Loop Recording

The dash cam is equipped with loop recording functionality to ensure continuous video capture.

• When the memory card reaches its full capacity (up to 32GB supported), the system will automatically overwrite the oldest video files with new recordings.
• This feature eliminates the need for manual deletion of old files.

5.4 Motion Detection

The motion detection feature provides security by recording when movement is detected.

• To activate or deactivate motion detection, navigate to the settings menu.
• When enabled, the dash cam will automatically start recording if it detects movement in its field of view, even when the vehicle is parked.

5.5 Menu Navigation

Use the control buttons to navigate the dash cam's menu and adjust settings.

• Press the "Mode, menu" button (M button) to enter the menu or switch between recording, photo, and playback modes.
• Use the "Up" and "Down" buttons to scroll through menu options.
• Press the Power/OK button to confirm a selection.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the camera lens. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could scratch the lens.
• Cleaning the Screen: Use a microfiber cloth to clean the display screen.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the dash cam in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Memory Card: Periodically format the memory card (at least once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption.
