Operating Instructions
General Operation
- Power On/Off: The LCD screen automatically activates when water flows through the meter or when the button is pressed. It goes to sleep automatically if there is no operation or water flow for 1 minute to conserve battery.
- Button Function: The single button on the front of the device is used to cycle through the measurement modes and perform resets.
Switching Units (Gallons/Liters)
To switch between US Gallons (GAL) and Liters (LPM/L), ensure the meter is in Flow Mode (Mode 1). Long press the button until the unit changes on the display.
Resetting Data
To reset data for a specific mode (Last-Time Consumption, Daily Average, or Total Consumption), navigate to that mode and long press the button. The display will reset to zero or clear the stored data for that mode.
Measurement Modes
The RESTMO Water Flow Meter features four distinct measurement modes, accessible by short pressing the button to cycle through them:

- Mode 1: Real-Time Water Flow Rate (Flow Mode)
Displays the instantaneous water flow rate in Gallons Per Minute (GPM) or Liters Per Minute (LPM). This mode is active when water is flowing through the meter. Long press the button in this mode to switch between Gallons and Liters.
- Mode 2: Last-Time Water Consumption (Consumption Mode)
Shows the total amount of water consumed during the most recent watering session. This value is stored until the next watering session begins or until it is manually reset. Long press the button in this mode to reset the value.
- Mode 3: Daily Average Water Usage of a Week (AVG Mode)
Calculates and displays the average daily water consumption over the last seven days. The count starts from the day after the meter is first used or reset. Long press the button in this mode to reset the average calculation.
- Mode 4: Total Water Consumption (Total Mode)
Accumulates and displays the grand total water consumption since the meter was first used or last fully reset. This mode provides an overall record of water usage. Long press the button in this mode to reset the total consumption.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the meter with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the meter, drain any remaining water, and store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: When the display becomes dim or unresponsive, it's time to replace the CR2032 battery. Open the battery compartment (usually on the back or side) and replace with a new battery, observing polarity.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display / Display is dim | Battery is low or dead. | Replace the CR2032 battery. Ensure the protective tab is removed if it's a new battery. |
| Inaccurate readings | Air in the line; Meter not installed correctly; Flow too low or too high. | Ensure water flows steadily through the meter. Check for proper installation and tight connections. The measurement tolerance is less than 5%. |
| Water leaks at connections | Connections are not tight enough; Worn out washer. | Tighten connections securely. Check and replace rubber washers if they appear worn or damaged. |
| Meter not turning on with water flow | Battery issue; Internal sensor malfunction. | Check or replace battery. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
