Setup Guide

1. Charging the Gimbal

Before initial use, fully charge the gimbal. Connect the Type-C USB Power Cable to the charging port on the side of the handle and to a power source. The battery level indicator lights will blink during charging and remain solid when fully charged.

Tip: Please fully charge the gimbal before using it for the first time to ensure optimal performance.

2. Mounting the Tripod

Attach the included grip tripod to the 1/4-inch thread screw port located at the bottom of the gimbal handle. This provides a stable base for stationary use.

3. Unfolding and Powering On

Unfold the gimbal to its operational position. Press and hold the power button for one second to power on the device. The gimbal will automatically adjust to an initial position.

4. Mounting a Smartphone

1. Click the power button once to switch the phone holder into the horizontal direction.
2. Carefully install your mobile phone into the phone clip. Ensure the camera lens of the mobile phone is positioned on the left side.
3. Keep the phone clamped and balanced centrally within the holder to prevent vibration or jerking during operation.

Important Tip: We strongly recommend removing your mobile phone case before mounting to ensure a firm and stable attachment, preventing any potential vibration or jerking of the gimbal.

App Download & Bluetooth Connection

1. Downloading the App

To unlock the full potential of your COMITOK L7C Pro gimbal, download the "Gimbal Pro" app. You can scan the QR code provided in the physical user manual or search for "Gimbal Pro" in your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

2. Bluetooth Connection

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone. The Bluetooth indicator light on the gimbal will show its status:

• Slow flashing: Bluetooth is not connected.
• Fast flashing: Bluetooth is connecting.
• Solid light: Bluetooth is connected.

In your phone's Bluetooth settings, find and select "GP7_XX" (where XX is a unique identifier) to pair. Once connected, you can enter the native camera app or the "Gimbal Pro" app to begin using the gimbal's features.

Operating the Gimbal

Button Functions

• Power Button:
  • Press for 1 second: Power on/off the gimbal.
  • Press once: Switch between horizontal and vertical modes, or restart the gimbal if it's stuck.
• Mode Button (M):
  • Press once: Switch between four working modes:
    • Half Follow (HF) - Default mode.
    • Lock Full (LF)
    • FPV mode
    • All Follow (AF)
  • Press twice: Return the gimbal to its original position.
• Joystick:
  • Push up/down: Controls the tilt motor (Angle range: +50°/-40°).
  • Push left/right: Controls the pan motor (Angle range: +250°/-90°).

Intelligent AI Tracking

The L7C Pro features intelligent AI tracking through the Comitok app, allowing for precise face and object tracking. This ensures your subject remains centered in the frame automatically.

• Face Tracking: Click the lock icon in the app camera to select a face to follow. The gimbal will automatically rotate to track the recognized face.
• Object Tracking: Effortlessly record dynamic and fast-moving scenes by tracking moving objects in real-time.

To turn off face tracking, you can either click the tracking icon in the upper right corner of the app, or triple-click the mode key on the gimbal.

Smart Gesture Control

The gimbal supports gesture controls for convenient operation (primarily for iPhone users):

• Fist Gesture: Use a fist gesture to start taking photos or video recording.
• Palm Gesture: Use a palm gesture to stop taking photos or video recording.

• App Crashing/Features Not Working:

  • Close and reopen the app.
  • Restart your smartphone.
• Wireless Microphone Audio Issues: Some users have reported that the gimbal may default to the phone's native microphone. Ensure your wireless microphone is properly connected and selected as the audio input source within your phone's camera settings or the "Gimbal Pro" app, if applicable.
