3.1. Front Panel
- PWR LED: Indicates power status. Solid green when powered on.
- SYS LED: Indicates system status. Blinking green indicates normal operation.

- Security Lock Slot: Allows for physical security of the device using a Kensington security lock.
4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to set up your Festa FR205 router.
4.1. Hardware Connection
- Power Off: Ensure all network devices, including your modem and computer, are powered off.
- Connect WAN: Connect your modem's Ethernet port to the WAN port (Port 1) of the Festa FR205 using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect LAN Devices: Connect your computers, switches, or other network devices to the LAN ports (Ports 2-5) of the Festa FR205.
- Power On: Connect the power adapter to the router's power input and plug it into a power outlet. The PWR LED should light up.
- Verify LEDs: Wait for the SYS LED to blink, indicating the router is operating normally. Check the Link/Act LEDs for connected Ethernet ports.
4.2. Initial Configuration
The Festa FR205 can be managed via the Festa App or a web browser.

Using the Festa App:
For convenient setup and on-the-go network management, download the Festa App.
- Download the Festa App from your mobile device's app store or by scanning the QR code in the Quick Installation Guide.
- Create a TP-Link ID or log in with an existing one.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your Festa FR205 router and configure your network.
- The app supports Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) for simplified deployment.

Using a Web Browser:
For full onsite/remote management, access the router's web interface.
- Ensure your computer is connected to a LAN port of the router.
- Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (usually
192.168.0.1or192.168.1.1) ortplinkfesta.netin the address bar. - Log in using the default credentials (found on the label on the bottom of the router or in the Quick Installation Guide).
- Follow the on-screen wizard for initial setup, including setting up your internet connection and network settings.
5. Operating the Router

5.1. Multi-WAN Configuration and Load Balancing
The router supports up to three WAN connections (Port 1, and Ports 2 & 3 configurable as WAN/LAN) to enhance internet reliability and bandwidth.

Please note that TP-Link Festa Devices, including the FR205, do not work with TP-Link Omada Controllers. Festa Devices require Festa Cloud for management. Standalone mode does not apply for full management features.
