The Stylus 2 requires one AAAA battery. If the battery is not pre-installed, gently twist the top cap of the stylus counter-clockwise to open the battery compartment. Insert the AAAA battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the tip of the stylus. Close the cap by twisting clockwise until secure.
